MacReady’s The Arcadian is a richly textured track with a delicate, caressing melody and bursting, percussive energy. Digital, open, warm feeling synth notes move in a spaced apart pattern that becomes a round, medium-high synth pulse as the track begins. A wheeling guitar calls out in an aching, yearning melody that reaches for the sky over the steady ease of the drum beat while a quick, repeating synth dances through in an intertwining line.

The drums have weight and propulsion to them as they drive on and the bassline shifts actively under them. A bright, elevated synth line shimmers out an energetic, but pained melodic line over the throbbing drums. A full, digital-sounding arpeggio spins out over the oscillating bass and through the gritty buzz around it as the drums push forward. The guitar soars and flies out over the accelerating beat before the bass oscillation fades out.
