Synth Single Review: "Endless Summer' by RND87

Karl is a longtime freelancer who's passionate about music, art, and writing.

RND87’s “Endless Summer” begins as wobbling, medium-low synth flows in a broken pattern over thrumming bass that vibrates below it. Now the drumbeat and bass oscillation add form while digital-sounding, low notes pulse and quick, elevated chimes sparkle. Medium-low synth carries a slowly unfurling, pained note pattern and higher, string-like synth provides a caressing accent.

Trembling synth notes shiver through the track over majestically rising, gleaming string-like sounds as a nasal-sounding, evolving sonic pattern shimmies through. Underneath the other sounds, drums and bass provide a steadying influence as the bright, warming string notes swirl.

There are layers built on layers as the glittering synths add shine and the bass pulse guides the music along with the drums. This track exudes a dreaming feeling mingling with a hope that the summer’s glow to go on forever, permeating everything. The track ends on tremulous, metallic synth patterns and a continual background light.
