Synth Single Review: "Destination Venus" by DepthCruiser

DepthCruiser’s Destination Venus is a complex, cosmic synth exploration. A series of rapid, rising and breaking synth notes moves over a thudding kick drum and rough-edged sounds to open the track. A metallic, medium-high synth pulses out in broad blocks over the broken drum pattern. A digital sounding, wide-band synth moves in a wandering, shifting line over the deep throb of the drums that push the music onwards. The computerized synth pattern adds a fascinating futuristic element as it roams along over the steady, propulsive beat.

Cymbals add a metallic ticking to the digitized pattern that moves in sharp angles. Bursts of fat, metallic synth float in again over the throb of the beat and the agitated synth. After a brief breath, the wandering pattern moves while small sonic skitters and sparkles touch the music. The drum and bass pulse goes on, never slackening, as the ripple of computerized sounds also adds texture to the track. As the music winds up, broad sonic blocks flow and then fade out.
