Synth Single Review: "Deep Red' by A New Hope

A New Hope’s Deep Red is richly layered and dense with dynamic energy. A hissing, breezy sonic rush opens the track as pulsing, medium-high synth grows into the music. The medium-high synth carries a note pattern exuding flowing energy with a hint of something pained tugging at its edges. The drums are solid and throb in steadily bouncing lines. Full-sounding synth fades into the background and from it emerges a flashing, majestic synth carrying a melody full of rising power.

Behind the synth’s power, the repeating, medium-high note pattern again pours out energy as it crescendoes. Now a brassy synth carries a melody that brims with explosive motion and a sense of adventure. This is music that surges with intense life. The drums move into a half-time rebound as the glowing synth calls out the soaring melody and the broad background synth pulse fades into quiet.
