Ankh Wave’s Dance of the Night Creatures captures the melodic, but shadowy energy of ‘80s horror movie soundtracks. Bells ring and a rapidly oscillating, spinning series of metallic synth arpeggios is joined by the dense voice of an electric guitar crying out strong notes. Pipe-like synth drifts in a cosmic pattern and the guitar jiggles wildly as evil laughter sounds. The brightly revolving arpeggios are driven by huge drums while the guitar has a cascading scream.

Deep, distorted, warm notes swell as thunder claps and the powerfully moving drums and bass support the thickly woven guitar melody. Victorious synth notes rise upwards over the continual heartbeat surging below them as the guitar plays a painfully emotional melodic segment. There’s a guitar solo full of intricate shredding and passionate feeling as the fuzz-edged synth leaps around it. The guitar’s wild voice rings out over the whirling arpeggios before the track ends.
