Synth Single Review: "Curtain Falls" by A New Hope

A New Hope’s Curtain Falls mingles dynamism and emotive expression. The track commences as slowly rising, expanding synth forms a gently shifting arpeggio that spins smoothly into the music. Slightly gruff synth chords cut in and the arpeggios slip in a gliding motion while the hard edges of sound cut in.

Clean arpeggios dance as bass flows and the sounds of rising seagulls float. Medium-low, glowing synths sing out in warm, slightly melancholy lines while the drums guide the music and bass keeps undulating in low waves. Elevated, gleaming synth carries the hopeful melody as it yearns upwards.

Drums burst and steady bass oscillation shapes the music as the track progresses. The melody has an aching feeling , expressing a desire for lost times to return. Big, solidly pulsing drums fade away as the main melody keeps shining out, full of hurting feeling as bass washes through and the sea birds cry.
