Synth Single Review: "Chill" by The VYB Project

The VYB Project’s Chill combines some ultra-cool jazz sounds with synth elements to create a laid-back, groovy electronic track. Jazzy piano trips into the track along with the solid pulse of bass and ticking, pulsing percussion.

An oscillating wave of synth flows smoothly back and forth over the steady drumbeat that shapes the track as the shining whorls of surging synth add brightness.

The bright synths grow in intensity and swell into the track before breaking into distant, glitchy piano notes and a flow of electric bass. Swirling synths drift in washes of sound as the drums slide and tick.

The beat supports rising clouds of synthesized sound that move in an intense flow that interweaves the glimmering, elevated sounds that fade to the cool piano and then into quiet. There’s a groovy, easy-going feeling to this track that allows for relaxation, but doesn’t allow the music to get boring.
