The Rise of Skywalker Movie Poster
Let the 2019 Star Wars Hype Begin
I am ready for Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker. I hope this second trailer doesn't foreshadow half the movie to be a review of the first eight. I'm not into speculating what is going to happen, it's pretty obvious, that somehow Rey is a Skywalker. However, I am getting a nervous twitch that all the Syths were Skywalkers as well and that the rise of Skywalker doesn't happen in this movie but occurred one thousand years ago.

Star Wars IX - The Rise of Skywalker - Teaser Trailer 1
"We passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now. But, this is your fight" "We'll always be with you" "No one's ever gone" is all we hear in this trailer.
We see words: "Every Generation Has a Legend"
We do see a lot. Rey jumping over what looks like Kylo's Ty Fighter. A winter battle in a forest. Chewy and Lando coming out of light speed in the Millenium Falcon. And what looks to be a piece of the Death Star in an ocean.
At the end we hear the haunting laugh of a Syth, but which one?
Trailer 2 - A Special Look - August 26, 2019
Star Wars IX - The Rise of Skywalker Trailer 2 - A Special Look at D23
The first half of this trailer is a recap of the previous eight movies in what looks like theatrical release order.
During this sequence, we hear the same words from the first trailer: "We passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now. But, this is your fight"
We see some of the same scenes as the first trailer just in a different order. The group assembled like a landing party about to go into a city. Princess (General) Leia. C3PO with red eyes. A group of rebellion ships that looks like it is taking on an armada.
More words while Rey and Kylo fight on the ocean, reminds me of the light sabre battle between Anakin and Obi-wan, and what looks like a death star in the background (revisiting the image we saw in April's trailer).
What sounds like a sith saying "Your journey nears its end". Darth Vader breathing and the final scene is of a girl with a double red light sabre about to do battle.
Trailer 3 - October 21, 2019
Star Wars IX - The Rise of Skywalker Trailer 3
The third trailer for the upcoming ninth episode of the Star Wars saga, The Rise of Skywalker, was release on October 21, 2019. It was during halftime of the Monday Night Football game. This also coincided with the release of pre-sale tickets, the movie will be in theaters on Dec 20. And in a bizarre coincidence, Carrie Fisher's birthday is October 21.
We hear the voice of Emperor Palpatine. "Long have I waited". We see a force of ships led by the Millennium Falcon, probably about to do battle with the ships we saw in trailer #2. A few scenes that look like fight scenes between Rey and Kylo. The end of the trailer is Luke saying "The force will be with you" and then Leia adding "Always".
I think we are going to learn that Palpatine was himself a Skywalker, maybe even Anakin's father. And now the battle between Great-Grandfather and Great-Grandson and Great-Granddaughter ends one of the great movie series of all time.

What Do You Hope Happens in the Last Star Wars Movie?
Tim Truzy from U.S.A. on August 27, 2019:
Excellent article. I'm trying to figure out who are the "junkies" that were Rae's parents. I hope Disney brings some life to this franchise by reviving the old feel. We will see. Thanks.
