Sitcom Serial Daters Part 2—George Costanza

George (Right) can't make major relationship decisions without consulting his best friend Jerry. (Left) Which is one of the worst things he could do.

George (Right) can't make major relationship decisions without consulting his best friend Jerry. (Left) Which is one of the worst things he could do.

George Costanza—Jason Alexander

We continue with our sitcom serial daters series. The 2nd person on this list is George Costanza. Jerry Seinfeld's best friend and sidekick on the hit series Seinfeld.

How does a short, quirky bald man pull so many ladies? It's TV yadda yadda..... It's fun to entertain the question. I mean seriously, he's neurotic, obnoxious, and boring, but we love George. He's the most entertaining of the group. He talks big and never backs it up. He just can't let things go. He's easily fooled because by his own admission he's the Lord of the Idiots, however, the man can lie. He'll go down swinging to defend that lie. The man likes to wax poetic on toilet paper and gave a long lecture about how manure isn't that bad. His cheapness ended up killing his fiancé. His mother threw out her back when she caught him wrestling himself. He's not a keeper ladies.

George astonishingly outkicked his coverage. It was amazing how a slow-witted, stocky, bald, and neurotic man would land so many women. It’s tv we get it. We aren’t talking models, but they were above him for various reasons.

George was based on Larry David the co-creator of Seinfeld. George was played by actor Jason Alexander. Here is a list of George's Top 10 girlfriends/dates. What are my criteria? Just what appeals to me. It’s my hub!

10. Susan—Heidi Swedberg

  • Seinfeld Recurring Character
  • What I like about Heidi. Heidi was perfect as Susan. She has that cold, stuck-up socialite look-down pat. For some reason that does it for me. She has that hint of sophistication like expensive wine.
  • Why I chose Susan. I may be one of the few people that like Susan. What's not to like? She's cute, successful, and willing to marry a nut job like George. She is the only woman that George broke up with that he thought about after. He hated his time with her and was miserable without her. He was so miserable he moped around Jerry's apartment and sang a song about lost love. Why on earth would this woman that had a successful job as an executive at NBC (until George's stupidity got her fired) want to date George? She comes from money, loves sex (George had to fight her off on the way to her father’s cabin), and was a lesbian for a short time (George ruined men for her after their 1st dating cycle.). So, you know nothing was off-limits in the bedroom. Susan stuck with George through a lot of crap until she met her end at the hands of his cheapness. Shout out to Mick97 for informing me that they killed Susan off because Jason Alexander mentioned it. Apparently, actress Heidi Swedberg was awful to deal with. Poor Lily (Kramer thought her name was Lily and even after she corrected him, had the nerve to ask if she was sure.), I mean Susan.
  • Heidi's career overview. Heidi made quite a few guest appearances on TV shows and had various parts in movies. She is known more for her role of Susan Ross on the NBC hit sitcom Seinfeld. She was last seen in the TNT series Hawthorne in 2010. Hawthorne ran for 3 Seasons.

9. Siena—Katy Selverstone

  • Seinfeld Episode—The Face Painter
  • What I like about Katy. Katy has blue eyes, great lips, and a sexy sultry voice. All her great qualities make her stand out.
  • Why I chose Siena. You've got to respect the way Siena handled a tough situation. A guy you have been dating for a short period tells you he loves you and she quickly changes the subject to food. She's crafty and I like that. Instead of facing that awkward situation, she deflected. Why ruin a nice time? This woman was way out of George's league, and he knew it right away. So, like any smart man who is not blessed in the looks department, he tried to lock it down. He should have played it cool and enjoyed the ride. He got swept up too quickly. He was enamored with her after their conversation about toilet paper. You know Siena was a little freaky. She worked at a zoo. The things she saw and did in that place. Come on, you know nothing is off-limits in the bedroom. She's around those animals all day. You know those primal and carnal showings rubbed off on her. Plus, how shocked can she be about dirty sex acts after cleaning up monkey poop all day, just saying.
  • Katy's career overview. Katy has made a lot of appearances on various TV series. She's had a couple of parts in movies. Her longest run was on the ABC sitcom The Drew Carey Show where she was the girlfriend of another Sitcom Serial Dater, Drew Carey. She was a recurring character on that show for seasons 1 & 2.

8. Jane—Melora Walters

  • Seinfeld Episode—The Hamptons
  • What I like about Melora. Melora has always had this mysterious look about her. Some may describe her as plain, but I see something in her.
  • Why I chose Jane. Jane had to make the list. She walked around the Hamptons topless. She is cute and has a great body. Her confidence alone puts her on this list. She was not bashful. To quote Jerry when he was talking about the Braless Wonder..."I love her whole free-swinging, free-wheeling attitude!" Poor Georgie, his friends got to see her naked before he did. The worst thing possibly happened to him. Jerry's girlfriend sees George naked after being in the pool and suffering from major shrinkage, she laughed folks...brutal. So instead of letting this awful, awkward situation die down, George harped on it and tries to prove to Jerry's girlfriend that there was a reason for what she saw. This led her to tell Jane about his downstairs situation, thus killing her interest. The man is his own worst enemy.
  • Melora's career overview. Melora has been in a lot of movies and TV series. She is most known for playing the role of Wanda Hendrickson in the HBO series Big Love. Big Love ran for 5 Seasons. Melora was a cast member from Season 1-4.

7. Sheila—Heather Campbell

  • Seinfeld Episode—The Package
  • What I like about Heather. Heather is a cute, blonde, blue-eyed, sweet, and perky woman. That's just how she comes across.
  • Why I chose Sheila. The one that got away. She seemed to be really into George. Sheila had eyes for George. She was excited that he asked her out. George made the fatal mistake of listening to that hipster doofus Kramer. Thank you, Elaine, for that great description. Sheila worked at the Photo Mart where George took his film to be developed. George thought she slipped a seductive picture into his photo packet. Kramer suggested he do the same. You know, the timeless art of seduction. The dude at the Photo Mart thinks the picture is for him and chaos ensues. Typical sitcom goofiness. Of course, she sees both photos thinking George is a freak, and his chances are blown. Poor Georgie.
  • Heather's career overview. Heather has been in a few low-budget movies and had parts in a few notable TV series. For 1 season she was a cast member of Police Academy: The Series, which I didn't know existed until right now. It lasted 1 Season. She was last seen on a 2001 TV show called Murder in Small Town X. I have no idea what that is. Not surprised it only went 1 Season. The last known show she appeared on was The Love Boat: The Next Wave which was on UPN. Which surprisingly made it 2 Seasons. Yikes, a Love Boat reboot on a network that is no longer around. Brutal! UPN merged with the WB network to create the CW which is a combination of the 2 failing networks to create one functional network.

6. Karen—Lisa Edelstein

  • Seinfeld Episodes—The Mango & The Masseuse
  • What I like about Lisa. Lisa's got those piercing blue eyes and that great smile. I'm a sucker for smiles. She also has great lips.
  • Why I chose Karen. Just the way she leans back and takes a drag of that cigarette after finishing that risotto in that one episode. Oh yeah! The way she eats risotto is very stimulating. You get a glimpse into what ringing her bell would be like. She must be on this list. George couldn't satisfy her as much as the risotto. She once gave him a tap on the head when he went down on her. Brutal! Even with the lack of satisfaction she still liked him. With the help of a powerful mango, George finally sets their bedroom dancing on fire. Only to turn around and insult her theatrics after witnessing Elaine's ruse on Jerry. She still liked him. This idiot became so fascinated with Jerry's girlfriend and her hatred for his presence that he left Karen in the middle of a passionate kiss. The man is a fool.
  • Lisa's career overview. Lisa has been in various low-budget movies and has done a lot of work on many successful TV series. She is most known for her role as Lisa Cuddy on the Fox series House. She was a main cast member from Seasons 1-7. The show ran for 8 Seasons. She was the lead on the Bravo TV series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce. It ran for 5 seasons. She currently has a recurring role on the Fox series 9-1-1: Lone Star. Lisa's character is a serial dater. It all comes around people.

5. Victoria—Dedee Pfeiffer

  • Seinfeld Episode—The Opposite
  • What I like about Dedee. Call me crazy, but I've always found Dedee more attractive than her sister Michelle. Michelle is the bigger the star. No duh, would be the reply from anyone reading this. I think if you asked people which sister is more attractive, they'd all say Michelle. Not me, it's always been Dedee. She's got those full lips and a solid smile. She looks like someone you could meet walking down the street. A friend of mine recently said there is something sexy about an actress that looks attainable. He's not very bright, but he made a lot of sense with that statement. She doesn't have that out of my league look. That's not a put down. She doesn't stand out as much as her sister, but I'm more drawn to her.
  • Why I chose Victoria. Victoria was caught by Elaine staring at George. George in the process of doing the opposite of what he would normally do, approached her and was brutally honest and she was into him. What a gal! Not only did she go out with George she arraigned an interview for him to get a job with the Yankees. She's got pull. She's a keeper. She also cared enough for this neurotic mess to help him get a job. Or maybe she was trying to fix him. Who cares? It would be worth it to be with her.
  • Dedee's career overview. Dedee has done quite a few parts in low budget films and guest spots on various TV shows. She's had a 4 and a half season run as a main cast member on the NBC sitcom For Your Love. It was cancelled on NBC after 6 episodes, and it was picked up by the WB network (Now the CW) for the rest of its run. Dedee is more known for being Michelle Pfeiffer's sister and professionally for being a main cast member on the CBS sitcom Cybill which ran for 4 seasons.

4. Ava—Teri Austin

  • Seinfeld Episodes—The Stranded & The Return
  • What I like about Teri. Teri has this sultry, sexy appeal. There is something about the way she carries herself that seems attractive to me. She comes across as classy.
  • Why I chose Ava. Of George's relationships, this one made the most sense. They worked together and had a growing friendship that started from office chit-chat. They flirted for a bit and decided to hook up after a party. That's natural. They always say don't shit where you eat, but who really listens to that gross saying? Especially when the person is attractive.
  • Teri's career overview. Teri Austin has made appearances on a lot of well-known TV series and sitcoms like the NBC hit sitcom Seinfeld. Which is why she is on the list. She is most known for Jill Bennett on the CBS prime-time soap opera Knots Landing. Teri was a recurring cast member from Season 6-10. The show ran for 14 seasons. The last thing Teri appeared in was a 2001 Sci-Fi post-apocalyptic movie called Gangland. It stars Ice-T and Coolio and I never knew it existed until right now.

3. Diane—Rosalind Allen

  • Seinfeld Episode-The Marine Biologist
  • What I like about Rosalind. Rosalind Allen is sexy with those blue eyes and that short bob hairdo. That's right Randal's up on his hairstyles. If that's wrong, I don't care. I don't know hairstyles!!!!
  • Why I chose Diane. Diane was the IT girl when George and Jerry were in college. She bumps into Jerry on the street and asks about George. She called him a big goof, but she did ask, so he was on her mind. Of course, his friend buries him by telling her he's a marine biologist. Jerry was only trying to help by making him sound successful. Why couldn't he just say, architect? That's all the man talks about. Jerry is not good under pressure. George on the other hand is a skilled and gifted liar that can fake being a marine biologist enough to make it semi-believable. She was so hot that George was willing to save a beached whale to carry out his lie. That's another reason why she's on this list. I mean George will go to great lengths to protect a lie, but he was walking into danger for her. You don't do that unless she's hot and she is.
  • Rosalind's career overview. Rosalind has made a lot of appearances on network TV shows as well as a few movie roles. Her biggest role would be playing Gretchen Richards on the NBC soap opera Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara ran for 9 seasons. She played the role of Dr. Wendy Smith on the NBC sci-fi show SeaQuest 2032. She was a main cast member in Season 2. The show ran for 3 seasons.

2. Marlene/Kelly—Tracy Kolis

  • Seinfeld Episode—The Ex-Girlfriend & The Soup
  • What I like about Tracy. Tracy has those amazing lips. They look soft to the touch. I dig it. She's got beautiful blue eyes. There is just something about her.
  • Why I chose Marlene/Kelly. Marlene has that sexy scarlet draw. She's got amazing lips. She's got those illuminating eyes. She's incredibly boring, but you can see why he overlooked that fact. Apparently, she was into George Costanza. She was distraught when he broke up with her. She cried and then shouted obscenities at him. To loosely quote George, it was like he was an inmate escaping prison and she was a guard at the tower firing off obscenities, "Son of Bang, Son of a Boom." The fact that she dated his best friend after him is low, but he was cool about it. A new side of George. It is a feather in George's cap because she was into George, and he broke up with her. She was into Jerry but called it quits after seeing his act.
  • Tracy's career overview. Kelly isn't as sexy as Marlene, but she's still got those incredible eyes and lips. Yes, I realize they are the same person, but what made Marlene's character hotter than Kelly’s is the accents. Marlene's had a simple sexy throaty country sound. Kelly has more of a Brooklyn/city accent not as sexy to me but effective. It feels gritty to me, but I still find it sexy just not as much as Marlene's accent. She was into George enough to go for a walk with him and it seemed like she was really into him. Then he did the worst thing ever. As guys, we try to act cool and act like things don't bother us. He stepped in manure and tried to play it off. No, no, no George. No one is cool enough to play off poop. Of course, she works at their favorite diner and George can't expect to be man enough to see her every day. Sometimes you got to take the loss. It sucks. He tried to get her fired. As usual, he failed and had to eat alone at their alternate diner.
  • Tracy started in the soap opera genre bouncing around a few shows. She did a few network sitcoms. Her longest-running arc was on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children. All My Children lasted for 43 Seasons. Wow! She was on 4 episodes. She is probably most known for her role as Marlene on Seinfeld. She was last seen in 1999 on the WB network sitcom Popular. Popular ran for about 2 Seasons. The WB is no longer around it merged with fellow struggling network UPN to create what is now known as the CW.

1. Marissa Tomei—Marissa

  • Seinfeld Episodes—The Cadillac
  • What I like about Marissa. It's Marissa Tomei people. She's hot. Of course, she was going to be #1. She's an amazing actress who is beautiful while having that girl next door quality. Plus, she's successful and you're lying to yourself if you say that doesn't matter. There is a thrill factor in play. How could you blame George? How many times do you get a chance to be with an Oscar-winning actress? That doesn't excuse his behavior, but it's one where you can't be as angry at him. Marissa is one of my favorite actors. I will watch just about anything she's in. She's talented, cute, and sexy.
  • Why I chose Marissa. Marissa has a type and it’s short, quirky bald men. George is back BABY!!!! George had it bad for her and rightfully so. Unfortunately, George was engaged to Susan. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. Now personally I think if he wanted to be with Marissa Tomei, he should have broken it off with Susan. But George wanted to see if the story was true. He ultimately wanted the ego boost. He couldn't live his life with a what if. I still don't condone his behavior, but I understand it.
  • Marissa's career overview. Marissa had a few roles in small movies and did a lot of work in TV early in her career. Her first big break was on the soap opera As the World Turns, in which she appeared from 1983-1985. The soap opera ran for 54 Seasons. She was also a cast member of the 1st season of highly rated NBC sitcom A Different World, which ran for 6 Seasons. She left after the 1st season to pursue more movie roles. She hit it big when she played the role of Mona Lisa Vito in the critically and commercially successful film My Cousin Vinny. Tomei won the Academy Award for Supporting Actress for this role. She's received 3 Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress.
