Senior Pranks

I love everything weird and colorful in this world and I try to live a life that will make the world a little better once I'm gone.

The Tradition Lives On

Of course you want your class to be remembered. You want to leave a legacy. A well planned, well executed senior prank is perfect for that. The whole point of the senior prank is to leave a memory, for you, your classes, your teachers, and your community. A senior prank is a mark of school spirit.

To be successful you'll need organization, planning, persuasion, creativity, and follow through.  You must be creative in coming up with the concept.  You must plan out logistics.  You must tell those you need and those who can be trusted.  You must persuade people to do their job, and do it quietly.  You must be organized - everyone must know their role. And you must follow through with the prank and the clean up.

It may be possible to enlist janitors, or teachers you are close to...with persuasion.  The key to this is explaining that you want their help, so things don't get out of hand. They may be willing to help out a GOOD PRANK in an effort to prevent a bad one. Also, let them know that all money and cleanup involved will be completed by students.

It is a moment where you can show that you are smart enough to pull one over on them. It is not to get revenge on a teacher or school you don't like, nor is it to cause destruction. This is not meant to be a display of stupidity. Grow up.

Okay, so they pulled it off... - But I would not suggest trying it again

These pranks did work. They were funny. But given the same set of logistics, I would not recommend anyone attempt a replay.

I think the super balls were a good idea...but on the staircase? Bad.

No No No

These are not pranks

These are not pranks. They are vandalous, illegal, and wrong. They are not funny, but merely show that you are as stupid as everyone thinks.

- NO fire

- NO fireworks

- NO pulling the fire alarm

- NOTHING that would harm anyone

Scroll to Continue

- NO contaminating food...can get dangerous...allergies...

- NO blocking exits

- NO destruction of property

- NOTHING slippery on floors or stairs

- NO animal cruelty including letting animals loose on campus...cows, chickens, pigs, mice, rats,... Even if it starts out innocent, it could end in cruelty if only accidentally.

- NO targeting one person to the point of being mean

- NO targeting any student

- NOTHING resulting in large expense to the school

- NO tp-ing the place (it's just stupid)

- NOTHING that can get someone fired (don't drop porn in teacher's desk...)

- NO fraud, NO felonies

- NOTHING that would require police, or firemen ... they have far more important things to deal with

- NO threats

Pick a random day, and get your zombie on.

(Don't sue me already)

I am totally NOT encouraging seniors to vandalize, cause damage or injury, or harm animals in any way. Senior pranks should be harmless, but fun. Perhaps if some of us could provide funny non-violent non-destructive ideas, then kids wouldn't have to resort to bad and mean pranks. Use these pranks at you own discretion - there is no guarantee that you won't get in trouble by using fact, you probably will.

Also, these are Senior Pranks as in pranks for seniors in high school or college to pull...NOT pranks on Senior Citizens. Get that clear stealing walkers and wheelchairs. Got it?

Any other prank ideas? Proud of anything you pulled off?

@PhilVardy: I think paint is a bit too permanent to be a responsible prank. That costs money to be put back. But kudos on the student parking idea.

PhilVardy on April 24, 2013:

We had parking issues at out school - so we repainted the entire parking lot and wrote "student parking" on all the spaces! HA!

A fun lens, but "In most states (check yours) it is illegal to dig up the state flower (or sometimes tree). So if you plant the state flower in the shape of your class year, then they cannot legally dig them up" contradicts with "No destruction of property."

We did our senior prank last night.... But during lunch the principal found out and talked to us all. She knows we are good students so we wouldn't do anything bad. We were respectful of her wishes and since it was our principal's last year we wanted to fill her entire office with balloons. We had a plan to make jokes on the teachers boards and everything. The janitor even let us in. The only thing that sucked was that she told him not to let us in the classes. Most of the teachers were actually looking forward to the pranks.... Our principal totally ruined the whole point of being a senior and doing the senior pranks.... I couldn't even believe she did that to us... She definitely ruined for us...

two days ago bunch of seniors got to school early like at 2am and they tp-d all the trees and the outside of school, they they let the chickens loose, and they hung a golf cart from the roof. also, at my school they leave the keys in the school buses, and we have like 15-20 buses at our school..they drove them and parked some down the road, and parked them around campus and blocked the entrances to was hilarious..and none of them got suspended, the only penalty they got was to pay money for was pretty funny..

I actually organized the swap for the diploma prank. The principal had a great sense of humor. When he finished handing out the diplomas he had a huge pile of quarters on the table, and a handful in his pocket. He walked to the microphone and declared, "I really do not appreciate...the person who only gave me a nickel. Don't think I don't know who you are." Haha great times. I made a lens about dorm pranks. With today's climate of gangs in schools, heightened security and terrorist threats, most senior pranks are very tame compared to what they used to be.

My daughters school was toilet papered last week. All of the trees near the school parking lot were hit. The school came on the speaker and threatened to have the person responsible arrested and expelled. Where is the humor these days?

Our welding class pulled a prank on our teacher by fusing the door to it's frame. He didn't think it was very funny, a few kids got suspended. Just be careful on what prank you pull, being a jerk isn't funny.

anonymous on February 19, 2011:

This lens brought back memories!! The 2 pranks that stand out from my high school years were one class painted "Class of 95" on the one building. They were idiots for vandalizing the building but what made it classic was that they spelled "Class" without the "L"!! It was "Cass of 95"!

The other prank was the seniors took all the balls out of the computer mice in the computer labs. (This was back when mice actually had the tracking balls on the bottom.)

Rhonda Albom from New Zealand on February 05, 2011:
