What matters most in the world of entertainment is the impact it brings to the audience, and the power it holds to spread that impact.
One of the best Run BTS episode themes is one that’s set in a classroom, where they wear school uniform and there’s often that one teacher who has to deal with his chaotic students. Whether the episode requires them to do a skit, or play games, they never fail to entertain me in their uniform outfit. It also brings me back to their early days when they released their official music video for ‘Boy In Luv’ in 2014, wearing school uniform. The school setting always gives me that nostalgic feeling, thinking about how the members were like during their school days. These are memories that the members would normally share during a school episode that give ARMYs a chance to get to know them better.
Here are all the Run BTS school episodes that I have watched a gazillion times, but still can’t get enough of! Every day, I wonder when Run BTS will ever come back. I know my most favorite artists are so busy with concerts and all, but I hope there’s still a plan sometime in the future to continue Run BTS with fresh ideas. I think they should open a poll or something where ARMYs can suggest concepts.
1. Back to School Episode: Episode 11
This is their very first Run BTS episode with a school theme where they were asked to plan the segment themselves by creating their own skit. This came about because their first skit on episode 6 entitled, ‘Confession’ was hilarious, so the production staff decided to do another skit with a school theme where they have to write their own script and act according to what role they randomly picked by drawing lots. I think RM really nailed the role of a nice but slow-witted student. And everyone else did their best to entertain their ARMYs, but the show stealer is definitely Suga because it was the first and possibly the last time that someone from the members actually played a female role in Run BTS. And he was so damn pretty! I also included this episode on an earlier Run BTS article that I published which can be found on this link: https://hubpages.com/hub/Run-BTS-Role-Playing-Episodes?hubview
2. BTS School Episodes: Episodes 63, 64, & 65
In this three-part episode series, Suga played the role of a teacher and the rest were his students. There were four classes and the student members played games on each class. I was instantly hooked when I saw them in those very appealing yellow and black uniforms, looking like elites, then Suga’s role as a teacher suited him well, considering that amongst the members, he is the most serious type.
These are my favorite moments:
*The beginning where each student member appealed to the class about why he should be the class president. My heart fluttered at Jungkook’s speech where he simply introduced himself in a deep tone, a rare occurrence that gained the other student members’ attention. Then, he declared that he’s not interested to be the class president and his reverse psychology worked. He was elected as the class president and got benefits for it.
*I love it every time Jimin would lose his patience. He is so competitive that when J-Hope struggled during their music class, he would give this annoyed look that I think is his most adorable side. Jimin as the sassy and impatient member tops his naturally cute character because he’s even more cute when he’s angry and overly competitive.
*J-Hope oblivious of the reason he’s always being sprinkled with water is the most hilarious thing in this episode! His naughty members wrote ‘huh’ and ‘hahaha’ as his forbidden words, knowing that he always laughs. This resulted to him always getting sprinkled by water during the iconic chocolate mint debate.
3. Dalbang School Episodes: Episodes 112 and 113
This two-part episode series is my most favorite Run BTS school episode because of many things: (1) It’s the most hilarious school episode ever, (2) Jin as a teacher was such a special treat for me because he looked so fine in his teacher outfit with eyeglasses and he showed a serious side of him that I fell for. Considering that he’s almost always goofy, seeing him scold the boys for being so noisy was the cutest, most adorable thing because he was really immersed in his role as a teacher, (3) I love the opening part where they had to play a game to choose their partner and V just grabbed Yoongi in his arms. Yoongi’s reaction was to live for. He hates it when V does things like that, so he tends to pull away, (4) I love that part where Yoongi was embarrassed about how he looked during the limbo game where they not only have to pass forward under a low bar without falling or dislodging the bar, but they also have to do it with another member, (5) Lastly, I love the part where V was so determined to win the very challenging and upgraded limbo game and he had to persuade Yoongi to do it again, but Yoongi said, ‘No.’ Soon enough, Yoongi succumbed to V’s plea and still did the challenge.
