Worst: Cinderella(2021) ⭐ an Amazon Prime Original

Probably the worst Cinderella adaption so far. The movie had no original songs and felt like a horrible Glee episode with mediocre voices. The acting is pretty bad and cringeworthy. It did not live up to it's hype and besides the girlboss and feminist vibe this movie was trying to go for, it did not have any originality. The wicked stepmother was anything but wicked. Plus Camila Cabello tried to sing like Christina Aguilera and it did not work. This is a no for pretty much everyone.Rated ⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Worst: A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish(2019) ⭐

Christmas Wish(2019) seemed to have the bones of a good Cinderella movie with the magic of Christmas. But what it lacked was good acting, singing, and even dancing. The music and songs had a lot of autotone. The acting and singing were equally cringey. This movie does not stand out in my mind and is very much an afterthought for the Freeform and Disney network. ⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Worst: A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song(2011) ⭐

Once Upon a Song has the worst autotone singing, ever. Those who sing in this movie do not know how to sing. It is ironic that this movie is about singing because the cast has no talent. The singing is not the only thing bad about this movie but the acting which is subpar. But what does anyone except when the actors come from shows like Pretty Little Liars and The Secret Life of the American Teenager which have mediocre acting within themselves. ⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Somewhat bad: A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits(2016) ⭐⭐⭐

The main reason why this film was ranked low is because the concept of becoming a singer/dancer/pop star has been redone many times. This does not mean that the movie sucks completely but it just means the movie's plot is pretty contrived and has not brought much to the Cinderella movie universe. Sofia Carson plays Cinderella and because of her talent the movie received ⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Somewhat bad: Another Cinderella Story (2008) ⭐⭐⭐

Another Cinderella Story is one of those trainwreck movies you cannot seem to look away from especially since the main actress is nome other than Selena Gomez. Even though this movie uses ton of autotune and Selena is not an "amazing" dancer we as an audience are still left mesmerized. The quirkiness of this movie somewhat works and can be enjoyable. Besides the fact that Cinderella and prince charming have a age gap that could be considered creepy, this movie is still a fun watch. ⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Somewhat good: A Cinderella Christmas(2016)⭐⭐⭐

As a Hallmark movie, A Cinderella Christmas is actually pretty good. The acting is subpar and the lines are cheesey but what do you expect from a Hallmark TV movie. It is a cute movie nonetheless and does a good job at using Christmas to it's advantage. ⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Somewhat good: Not Cinderella's Type (2018) ⭐⭐⭐

This movie surprised me on how good it actually is with the "prince" having an actual story arc and has some character development. I like that Cinderella and her prince developed a relationship and it was not necessarily love at first sight. It is based on a book and the story is set in the modern day. The acting is not the best but it is still a fun movie.⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Better: Ella Enchanted(2004) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Anne Hathaway plays Ella in this 2004 classic. It has music and humor that makes this Cinderella story fun. It has some good scenes and decent acting. Overall, this is a fun movie which does not take itself seriously. Wish it took itself somewhat seriously like the book it is based on but we cannot have everything. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Better: A Cinderella Story(2004) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hilary Duff plays Sam(Cinderella) who is a modern, okay early 2000s modern day Cinderella. This movie was the first Cinderella Story in the neverending sequence of Cinderella story movies coming after it. It is a classic 2000s film with good Ole flip phones and chat rooms. Chad Michael Murray plays Austin Ames who is the "prince" of this story. He is popular and the quarterback while Sam works at her stepmother's diner and is not popular at all. Sam meets Austin in a chatroom and they begin having a pen pal relationship. It is a fun chick flick with a lot of comedy you would not expect. There are people who would laugh at this movie but honestly it is a pure classic. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best: Cinderella (1997) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brandy plays Cinderella in this underrated classic with amazing vocals in probably the best musical done on Cinderella. Whitney Houston plays the ravishing godmother in this adaption. The cast is very multicultural and honestly I am so here for the diversity. The music in this film is beyond amazing and it still brings me chills thinking about it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best: Cinderella (2015) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Disney's live action Cinderella is amazing especially when it comes to the fashion and the dress Cindrella ends up wearing to the ball. Lily James plays a timid and kind Cinderella in this adaption. Disney did a good job at capturing the magic from the original cartoon classic of Cinderella. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best: Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ever After is probably the most realistic adaption of Cinderella. This movie is a favorite because of its lasting impact on the audience. Danielle(Cinderella) is a strong and smart woman in this adaption which is a welcome change considering some movies pin Cinderella as nothing but a girl with a pure soul. She lost both her parents and is forced to work for her stepmother and stepsisters. We see Danielle deal with despair, death, humor, and love. This movie has amazing acting and actual humor that after repeatedly watching it does not get old. It is a fun adventure that you will want to watch again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
