The Olsen twins have evolved
Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Fuller Olsen were born on June 13 1986 and although as children they looked identical they are labeled as fraternal twins. The sisters portrayed Michelle Tanner the youngest daughter of Danny Tanner on Full House from 1987-1995. They have come to be known as "The Ful House Twins," or referred to as Mary Kate and Ashley but rarely the other way around. Tanner's portrayer Bob Saget recently passed away and the sisters along with other Full House cast offered their condolences as well as fond memories. When the reboot series Fuller House debuted on Netflix the Olsen's were criticized as they were the only members of the original Full House cast who did not take part in the spin-off. Mary-Kate's last acting job was in 2011 in "Beastly," a romantic-fantasy film. while Ashley made an uncredited appearance in 2010 in "I'm Still Here." The siblings have explained over the years that when it comes to acting they have "been there done that," They are private individuals and no longer enjoy being in the spotlight but fans continue to want more of them. Ashley has even stated that she no longer feels comfortable in front of the camera and that should be respected. Even so the public still seems not to be able to get enough of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
The Olsen's may be burned out
The twin have been spending their time focusing on their clothing brand The Row, which was launched in 2006 while they named ere students at the University of New York. They also have a second clothing brand, named Elizabeth & James after their siblings. They also own Dualstar which sold "$1 billion worth of merchandise worldwide in one year– including hair care products and videos. By the time they were 21, in 2007, the sisters joined powerhouses J K Rowling and Oprah Winfrey on the Forbes list of the wealthiest women in entertainment. The twins were said at that time to be worth $100 million. After Full House they were in a number of television shows and movies which include: Getting There, Hanging with Mr. Cooper, Sister Sister, Double Double Toil and Trouble, How the West Was Fun, It Takes Two, The Adventures of Mary Kate, and Ashley, Billboard Dad, Two of a Kind, The Little Rascals, Holiday in the Sun, Mary Kate and Ashley's Fashion Forward, When in Rome and many others. For 17 years straight from 1987-2004 the Olsen Twins were in a film or television show every single year. This had to be a grueling schedule to keep up with considering they were children and then teenagers. They may simply be burned out regarding the work it takes to be on movies and in television.
Olsen twins personal life
Mary Kate has dated David Katzenberg, Ali Fatourechi, Stavros Niarchos III, Heath Ledger and Nate Lowman. She was married to banker Olivier Sarkozy from 2015-2021. Ashley is currently dating artist, Louis Eisner. and previously dated Scott Sartiano, Jared Leto, Lance Armstrong, and Greg Chait. In 2007 she began dating Justin Bartha and after they broke up she was not seen with anyone again until hooking up with Sarkozy. There were rumors at one time that the twins were anorexic because of their small frames and at one point Mary Kate did go into rehab for an eating disorder. Fans have been concerned for many years about the way the twins never smile and the sad look in their eyes. They have even been described as looking malnourished although they are no longer thin and criticized for pursing their lips together and never giving a toothy grin. Young sister Elizabeth who is also an actress says her older sisters never read what is written about themselves because people always put their own spin on things. Mary Kate and Ashley who are fashionistas have won awards for their designs but have been criticized for their own clothing which is usually very baggy and considered not to be stylish. Perhaps it's all part of the image they desire to project and their fierce determination to remain private. These girls began acting before their first birthday and spent a lot of time learning the way of Tinsel Town.No one knows what damage they have incurred because so many people wanted a piece of them so perhaps overzealous fans should just give them a break.
