How To Striptease

How To Striptease: A Housewife's Guide

This is dedicated to all the playful lovers who wish to spice up their intimate life. To all women in their 30s and 40s who want to try something new to spice up their relationship.

As a mother of two I understand how difficult it is to feel sexy when you have spent your day cooking, changing nappies, cleaning the house, and fighting with the dog -all that in a quiet day! I understand that being tired by the end of the day is not the best way to start a romantic evening but also I have come to realize that if women do not make an effort to entice their partners (and vice-versa) relationships become stagnant, unchallenging and couples end up not remembering why they are together.

Striptease not only works for enticing your man under the duvet. Learning to strip is also a form of workout. Cardio striptease can make you lose more calories than an ordinary exercise session with the added bonus that it also improves your self-esteem and self-confidence.

Know How To Move Your Body

Knowing how to move your body, how to undress sensually can also be a form of sexual play between partners. In France, I discovered a "school" for stripteasing. A serious subject aimed at girls who are going to get married. For about 300 € friends can offer the bride a private striptease lesson at home with an accredited teacher!

We all know that a striptease is a dance which involves undressing in a teasing suggestive way. But some women are not at all happy about taking their clothes off, never mind doing sensual dances and acrobatics in the way. So here is when a few tips for undressing and doing a sensual striptease can help.

The Housewife's Guide to the Practical Striptease

Take Your Clothes Off And Start Loving Yourself

  1. First of all face your fears, take your clothes off in front of a mirror and have a long hard look at yourself. Focus on the positive rather than the negative. What are your best assets? Find them and exploit them to your favour.
  2. Have a good look at yourself. You're not as big (or small, or flabby) as you think you are! Surely your partner has told you many times that he likes your smile, your legs or your breast. Belief him, if he told you that, it is because he believes it.
  3. You are Beautiful. The media bombard us all with unrealistic airbrushed images of stick thin or surgically enhanced women. You might not be one of them, but you are beautiful in your own way. In any event, most normal women do not look like that. Look at the other mothers at the school gates... probably not even a fraction of them look like the women in Desperate Housewives, but they look like you and me.
  4. Stop comparing yourself to some superstar, just be yourself and love yourself for who you are.

Prepare Yourself For Stripping

If you are going to treat your man to a strip show, you want to look good naked. Remember that everyone is beautiful whatever your size, age and shape; self-esteem is the key to looking good - whether your clothes are on or off.

You need to feel confident with your body to be able to strip in front of your partner and the best way to help you feel like a top model is treating yourself like one. Indulge in body treatments and pamper yourself. Make sure your hair is clean and silky -you do not want the aroma of your cooking coming out of your hair every time you shake your head.

Also, make sure that your body is hair free, waxed or shaven. Exfoliate and moisturise your entire body. Take some time to prepare and put yourself in a sensual mood. After you have put the children in bed or even better, when you have sent them to your mom's for the weekend, you can treat yourself like a diva. Start with a bubble bath with some sensual oils -patchouli and roses are my favorites-. Some music in the background, soft lights and a glass of champagne and you will be ready to feel like a goddess!

How to Striptease for Amateurs

How To Strip Tease Step By Step

  • Study some sexually suggestive movies and copy the movements. You do not need to watch X-rated movies to get the picture. In fact according to a poll, Jamie Lee Curtis' striptease in the film True Lies has been voted the sexiest strip tease in movie history (and she doesn't take it all off!) while Salma Hayek's from From Dusk Till Dawn dancing strip scene with a snake got the 3rd place. I am not suggesting that you go to the nearest pet shop and buy a snake to pretend to be Salma Hayek, but you can get some ideas from the film and use a feather boa.
  • Choose the music. Something slow if you are not very good at dancing, so you just need to walk and undress or something more exotic if you can manage to follow the rhythm. You do not need to be an expert dancer, just feel the music in your body, some music that you like and strip to it.
  • Close the curtains, unless you want a bigger audience, disconnect your telephone, set your mobile on "silent" and do not leave anything on the cooker!
  • Light some candles. Candlelight is easier on the body, it is less harsh than electric lighting and it creates more shadows and conceals your defects. You will feel more at ease if you know that your body is not being scrutinized under a harsh unflattering light.
  • Perfume yourself and the room. It is a good idea to add aromatic candles. Choose an aroma that you both like. Patchouli has aphrodisiac effects and so does violet, but they can be a bit overwhelming. It is said that Josephine Bonaparte's trademark in matter of aromas was violet; a well-known aphrodisiac, also used by courtesans in ancient Greece to perfume their breath and genital area.
  • Prepare an aphrodisiac cocktail for both of you so your partner can sip some sense awakening flavours while he is watching you. Prepare him for the "show" anticipation is also an aphrodisiac. In some regions of Europe during the Middle ages, it was traditional to let the bride and groom sleep together for a few nights before the marriage. But, they were not supposed to touch each other. They shared a bed naked, but there was a sword between them! This was supposed to increase the desire for each other. I do not advise this extreme measure, but it is a reminder that abstinence is a great aphrodisiac, so do your striptease after a few days of abstinence and your man will be in a more receptive mood.
  • Undress slowly and suggestively
  • Use extra garments when you are going to do a striptease, like a full lingerie set with garters, under your clothes. You can even wear a pair of sexy gloves... remember Rita Hayworth in Gilda, dancing suggestively while taking her glove off? Remember that it is not much about what you take off but HOW you do it.

Salma Hayek's Sexy Dance In "From Dusk Till Dawn" (1996)

  • Play with the clothes that you are taking off. Don't just pull your skirt off, tease, open the zip slowly show a bit of flesh, pull it up again, show and hide, tease your partner
  • You do not need to bare it all. If you are concerned about a caesarean scar, cellulitis, or extra weight and don't feel comfortable showing your body, just use your imagination. Wear veils, sexy lingerie or use props like cushions put in front of your "problem areas". Show a peek view and then cover it with your cushion, scarf, hat or whatever prop you are using. You do not need to be completely nude to be sexy! In India women never take off their jewellery or khol, because the jingling of their bracelets and the deep eye contact into kohled eyes have a hypnotic effect on their prey.

  • Wear high heel shoes or high heel boots and keep them on, your figure will look more elongated, your legs more toned and your walking will be slower and more sensual if you keep the heels on.

  • If you are not afraid of ridicule try wearing a themed dress, like a maid's dress, a nurse uniform a policewoman outfit, anything that tickles your fancy is valid and will help to set the mood and make him look at you like a different person; his own sex goddess!

Remember that you should do this as much for yourself as you do it for your partner. You will feel so sexy seeing him looking at you with renew lust that after, you will feel like a new woman. Good luck and enjoy the sex goddess within you!

Striptease as a sport

  • Cardio Striptease
Cardio striptease is a low impact aerobic workout that uses striptease moves. Between aerobics and a sensual yoga it is the routine that will not only work out your body but also your self confidence and sex appeal.

Would you do a striptease for your partner?

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on January 14, 2016:

Andy, thanks for sharing your experience.

andy on January 13, 2016:

I did it for my ex she loved it funny and sexy

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on May 09, 2013:

Perpeptua: you should, it can be a lot of fun. The most difficult part is the start but if you are at ease with yourself and your Partner it really can be a "super-wow-time"

Perpeptua on May 07, 2013:

Oh what fun .... I'm up for it

Anon from UK on March 26, 2013:

great hub!! i really enjoyed reading this you did a great job :-)

Ella on June 05, 2012:

This page is a great help, my boyfriend is always asking me to give him a strip tease but I just feel rediculous at the thought of it as I have a small amount of confidince and I wouldn't know what I was doing but this is a massive help and It's his birthday coming up so I might give him a little present ;)

daryl21anthony on July 27, 2010:

Great Hub! I should tell me girlfriend to read this hub! :)

Maria Cecilia from Philippines on July 07, 2010:

I can't help but smile while reading this.. sure try to this in the future with the approval of the partner hahaha

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on June 22, 2010:

cashan1011: after you are nude you can continue the fun somewhere else with your man, or just make the fun part of your dance routine!

Dream on: thanks

I miss him: That's a very good idea... I can imagine the rest ;-)

I miss him on June 22, 2010:

Very well written, although I "knew" most tips already it always helps reading about it again - some of us really need a lot of work to get rid of the "good girl"-type our environment made us stick to..

I'm only meeting my friend in autumn again :'( but I will definitely have such a surprise for him 'in the bag'.. Idea: you can softly tie his (her) hands to the bed at the beginning to add some more excitement or at the end, as you're taking off your stockings..use them for that..and then have your fun - let me not get into details! LOL

@cashan1011: you can touch yourself sexually for a period of time and then slowly approach him. Be confident - it's the key!

DREAM ON on April 08, 2010:

I like the tips and very well done.

cashan1011 from West Allis, Wisconsin on April 08, 2010:

Great Hub. I have tied it and I felt good. The only thing is that I do not know what to do after you are nude with you`re body . Thanks

Al Martin from U.S.A. on March 29, 2009:

So happy that I stumbled upon this hub. I congratulate you for giving "everyday" women the suggestion and confidence to do this kind of thing. Men are hungry for real women to appreciate their own beauty, to be seductive without being trashy, and to let loose and just have girlish fun.

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on October 02, 2008:

Kosmo: LOL Every girl has a secret garden... you just need to find the right key to open the gate ;-)

Kelley Marks from Sacramento, California on October 01, 2008:

A downright lascivious hub! We need more like it. I wish I had a girlfriend with burlesque in mind and body . . . ! Thanks, Princessa.

Tatjana-Mihaela from Zadar, CROATIA on September 28, 2008:

Very interisting article. Never tried, actually I would prefer sexy dancing together...Anyway: instead of striptease, I use visualisation and sensual energy while talking to my partner, and he feels it immediately. And vice-versa.Nice regards.

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on September 28, 2008:

prasadjain: Thanks for your comment. It requires a lot of self confidence to strip sensually in front of someone.

Dr.S.P.PADMA PRASAD from Tumkur on September 28, 2008:

Promptly telling, we men want to see our lady partners appear in artistically stripped pose. But many women hesitate, or they just strip in an indifferent way. This articles guides them properly.

Earth angel: Ms Belly Dancer, thanks for commenting. I like the fact that striptease and belly dancing are sooo much fun that you tone your body and loose calories almost without noticing. What's better, it makes you feel sexy and good about yourself.

Earth Angel on September 26, 2008:

Thanks for the GREAT Hub Princessa!!

Yep, strip tease and belly dancing provide some of the BEST exercise out there!! Uses the whole body!! Not to mention all the fun accessories!!

Blessings always, Earth Angel aka Ms. Belly Dancer!!

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on September 26, 2008:

Adrainsean: c' la vie ;-)

Judi: Candlelight is really great not only for creating the mood and adding a sensual scent but it is good for 'hiding' that extra piece of cheese and toast you had for lunch!

Marisa: Belly dancing? now, that is an art! I have tried it but I am still not very good at it, cannot get the shimmy right, so now I am going straight to your hub to work on my shimmy. BTW great idea to combine striptease and belly dancing.

Kate Swanson from Sydney on September 26, 2008:

Great Hub! I have tried striptease but find it hard to take things off gracefully. I prefer belly dancing for my husband, because it can still be sensual without having to worry about wardrobe malfunctions. It all comes off in the end anyway!! :)

Judy Cullins from La Mesa, CA on September 25, 2008:

Thanks for ideas for a good strip tease. I like the candles and I think a little practice is in order. My partner will love it like he did my belly dancing.

TravelAMP : Try having the aphrodisiac cocktail before hand... it might help you loose your shyness ;-)

Karlyn: You hit the nail! we workout to feel good with our bodies, we do it not only for health but also for our self esteem and confidence. Being at ease with your body and confident is the sexiest attitude. Keep enjoing the running and daydreaming :)

VioletSun: Playfulness is essential in a long term relationship. After spending years with a partner we tend to loose spontaneity and something as simple as introducing a little dance into your bedroom can help regain that :-)

VioletSun from Oregon/ Name: Marie on September 24, 2008:

Being playful and spontaneous is fun, and strip teasing at the spur of the moment with music playing, can be sexy too. :)

Karlyn from on September 23, 2008:

Yes! Thank you for this hub. Many women, like myself, workout because we want to feel sexy. I grow running every day and it can be boring after 10 minutes. So I do have my music to keep me company, but the best part about it are my day dreams. I put on music I could dance to and imagine myself dancing for my boyfriend. This makes my workout go by faster. My point is, that striptease is becoming more popular as a workout, because it really does make women feel sexy and it also gives them more skills and best of all, confidence.

TravelAMP from Around the world on September 23, 2008:

Very detailed how-to but never have the guts to do it. LOL.

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on September 23, 2008: Me too

earnestshub : once you have done it once you'll love it; it is soooo liberating!

AEvans: don't forget to come back to lets us now how it went ;-)

SweetiePie: yes, this is good for adding spice to a relationship and for increasing self-confidence.

Ananta: Sure you do ^_^

Ananta65 on September 23, 2008:

I get my share of teasing allright ;)

SweetiePie from Southern California, USA on September 23, 2008:

Great how-to for those who want to add spice to their relationship.

Julianna from SomeWhere Out There on September 23, 2008:

Well I am going to do it, anything to spice it up. I think it is going to be absolutely fun and thanks for sharing this idea and how too.:)

earnestshub from Melbourne Australia on September 23, 2008:

I think women are beautiful and a striptease would be a great way to put some spice back in a relationship.

As a guy I felt a bit embarrassed but hell I could get over it. from San Francisco, CA USA on September 23, 2008:

Great hub! I look forward to seeing Cardio Striptease as an event at the next Olympics.

web hosting on September 23, 2008:

i think many people, including myself, have lots of excuses for everything, to make themselves feel better. Good looks, imo, come from 3 things

1. confidence

2. youth

3. fitness

that's it. if you're not young, guess what what you can still be fit and confident - check out sharon stone. if you're not fit - get fit. if you're not confident - get confident. men really don't have very high expectations. those plastic models in the media are attractive because they portray those three qualities - even if they use surgery, make-up, personal trainers, nutritionists, etc...

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on September 23, 2008:

Ananta65: You are rigth, natural is beautiful. You are the perfect partner to be treated with a striptease :)

Trsmd: You can find plenty of classes online or in big cities such as Paris and London.

AEvans: it is fun ;-)

Julianna from SomeWhere Out There on September 23, 2008:

Wonderful!!! It is definitely a fun must try.

Trsmd from India on September 23, 2008:

Coaching class for this type of Art also?

Ananta65 on September 23, 2008:

“The media bombard us all with unrealistic airbrushed images of stick thin or surgically enhanced women. You might not be one of them, but you are beautiful in your own way.”

Actually you’re not just beautiful in your own way, you’re more beautiful. Because you’re real, not artificial. I’m not saying this just to be political correct; I mean it. Surgically ‘enhanced’ (although mutilated is a better word in my view) women have this plastic look about them, which makes them totally unattractive to me. And the airbrushed images, well they just look too smooth, slick to be appealing.

Wendy Iturrizaga (author) from France on September 23, 2008:

Just Rodney: Actually... you can vote :) that is why I wrote partner instead of wife or husband and I know many men who have done it for their girls ;-)

Rodney Fagan from Johannesberg South Africa, The Gold Mine City on September 23, 2008:

Cant vote, but a gbreat hub, as always, well written and put together. Thumbs up
