Chronological Order

Here's the full chronological order for the series.

1. Re:Zero Season 1 (Episodes 1-11)

how-to-watch-rezero-in-order-rezero-watch-order-guide

If you're deciding to watch this anime there's no better starting point than the season one. The anime covers 2 story arcs which is barely enough to get along with the characters and understand the premise of the story. To make you prepared to understand the plot and enjoy the anime your journey should end here on episode 11.

2. Re:Zero OVA: Memory Snow

Re:Zero Memory Snow

Re:Zero Memory Snow

After seeing the first 11 episodes of Re:Zero you should definitely watch the Memory Snow OVA. The movie takes place between episode 11 and 12 of the first season. Through the included content haven't appeared in the light novel or manga the author confirmed the movie is canon. However it wouldn't really affect your understanding the story of Re:Zero so you can easily skip it.

3. Re:Zero Season 1 (Episodes 12-26)

Now you can watch the first season to the finish

4. Re:Zero OVA: The Frozen Bond

First meeting of Emilia and Puck

First meeting of Emilia and Puck

In contrast to Memory Snow Re:Zero Hyouketsu no Kizuna is a movie that you need to watch. Unless the first OVA The Frozen Bond is an adaptation of a limited edition light novel and need to be watched if you want to understand the story. The story takes place when Emilia and Puck met for the first time during journey to Roswaal Mansion. Though the movie is a prequel to season one I recommend watching it after you complete the first season so you could avoid all the spoilers appearing in the movie.

5. Re:Zero Season 2

2nd Season of Re:Zero

2nd Season of Re:Zero

Now if you have watched all the movies and season one it's the last season of the main Re:Zero series. With two parts of second season released there are total 25 episodes to watch.

The season have received mixed ratings, but I wish that watching the series in order will help you to get great experience with the season 2.

6. Re:Zero Spin-offs (Optional)

how-to-watch-rezero-in-order-rezero-watch-order-guide

If you've watched two seasons of Re:Zero you still have the spin-offs to watch.

Up to date there are 4 TV Shows spin-offs available which are:

  • Re:ZERO ~Starting Break Time From Zero~ (Season 1)
  • Re:PETIT ~Re: Starting Life in Another World From PETIT~ (Season 1)
  • Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Kyuukei Jikan (Break Time) 2nd Season (Season 2)
  • Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Kyuukei Jikan (Break Time) 2nd Season Part 2 (Season 2 Pt.2)

All of the spin-offs listed above have been released during the release of particular seasons to entertain the fans while they was waiting for the new episode of Re:Zero. The story is all filler and doesn't take place in any timeline, which means you can skip it if you want to.
