Talented Honey Lee

Honey is named a gayageum prodigy (Korean Folk instrument) by the Kumho Art Center, the most prestigious musical foundation in Korea. She has made 4 CD's and has played in more than 25 countries world-wide, including Carnegie Hall in New York City. She has done extensive charity work including Goodwill, UNICEF, and others. She is also a scuba diver, competitive skier and a 3rd degree Black belt in Taekwondo. Whew!

Beauty Pageant Hottie

Honey Lee competed as Miss Seoul in the 50th Miss Korea pageant and won. This allowed her to enter Miss Universe. Before the pageant, Honey was an early favorite, thanks to her beauty, brains and diverse talents. (She plays the gayageum, a Korean folk instrument and is a 3rd degree Black belt in Taekwondo) For the national garb portion, Honey wore the Korean Hanbok.

Many believe Honey missed out on her title due to the question and answer section, in which the translator mis-interpreted her wanting to do something humanitarian with her money to being a gold digger. She got 3rd runner-up and ended Korea's losing streak in the Miss Universe Finals. (A drought which has gone on since 1988 with Miss Jang Yun-Jeong).

Hey raizadsf:

I don't know where you got this, since it's not in my hub:

"...we’d have laws put in place for these kinds of derogatory things we see daily."

But I know of Sharia Law, and a majority of Middle Eastern countries use it in some form or other!

This does exist. It's called Sharia Laws. Many Middle Eastern countries use some form of it, including Saudi Arabia and Iran.

All the women posted above have had the benefit of good luck, above all else. You may not be so "lucky" but your efforts in life may be just as great if not greater. I refuse to enable you to believe that you must be lucky to be exceptional.

gunsnroses: Legions huh? I hope to be just one of the legions too!

Thanks for reading!

There are legions of beautiful, sophisticated, educated, ambitious Korean women. This is yet another example of an accomplished one.

I couldn't agree more. I find people's talents much more attractive than just looks alone!

Looks will fade one day, anyway.

pmccray from Utah on November 19, 2010:

Beautiful, talented and smart too!! Beside her physical beauty her talents and education makes her even more attractive.

Hey BK!

I love how educated and multi-talented she is as well. I'm really glad you enjoyed Seoul, its a great place to live. You should definitely find yourself a rich man, so you can eat Korean food anytime you want!

Thanks for the comment, I always enjoy reading them!

She's fabulous and I love the fact that she is also well educated! Bravo. I've lived in Seoul over a 4 year period - had the best home-stay family for a few months (my family's 2 daughter's also went to SNU - Yay! - I bet they know Honey Lee).

I love and respect all things from Korea. I wish I could meet a (much) older (rich of course) Korean man - I'd certainly move back!

Great hub - thanks! And rated way up!
