There Are 54 Funko Pop! Harley Quinn Figures

Harley Quinn is no light weight in Funko Pop! World. Not many characters can boast having 54 figures in their theme category and the last one is the pink version of Harley as aBreast Cancer Bombshell. Harley is one of those very bad girls we all want to give a hug to. She shows her sweet and soft side and makes us forget that she is not one of the good guys. She is devoted to The Joker and swings a sledge hammer like it's no body's business. Here are some fun facts I dug up on Harley!

  1. Her given name is Harleen Frances Quinzel
  2. Harley Quinn is a PhD - she's not just a smart ass!
  3. When she met The Joker he was in jail and she was his doctor

Harley Got A New Costume Look

A lot of the earlier Funko Pop! Harley Quinn figures show her in that famous jester style hat, but Suicide Squad gave her a new, very punky and cute outfit and hairdo. She went from black and red harlequin to short red and blue shorts, a red and blue jacket, and those blue and pink pigtails.

Adorable, but her accessories, a baseball bat or a sledge hammer, give us a look at her badass side. And if you have seen her in action, you know what a badass she can be. Looks can be deceiving.

  • Two sides of her are always fighting, that ancient battle, the good vs. the bad
  • Harley Quinn is accomplished at Roller Derby
  • She once kissed Batman

Birds Of Prey Gives Us A Sparkly Harley

Birds of Prey gave her a new "I've broken up with my boyfriend but I am mending" look. Her clothes move and sparkle, giving us a new look into her personality. Her jacket is fringed and made of police caution tape. I guess she didn't get the Do Not Cross part of that message. Her gold jumpsuit is the outfit sex goddesses are dressed in. Loved the Suicide Squad stuff so much, but I am glad Harley has more options to choose from in her closet. She's come a long way baby since her 1992 debut in Batman, the animated series.

  1. Harley's earlier comic costumes were a clowny, jokerish red and black harlequin costume
  2. The definition of a harlequin is a mute character in pantomime wearing a red and black outfit with triangles on it
  3. Her skin is so white because it was bleached

Harley has come into her own in the comics and the movies. She was supposed to be a side kick, a one time girl, but she is now a star in the Marvel universe, fans love her and cheer her on, and that usually doesn't happen to the bad guys. We want them pounded. But not our Harley!

  1. She is a villian and a hero. Does that make her an anti-hero?
  2. Harley does whatever she wants
  3. She often carries a baseball bat or a sledgehammer and she knows how to swing both of them

Harley had a rough start in comic book life. Here she is educated, gorgeous, and faring well until she went to work in the Asylum where she meets The Joker. But that was then, and this is now. She is on the road to self awareness and recovering from her heart break. She has Bruce to love and take care of now.

  1. She had an extremely toxic relationship with The Joker
  2. Poison Ivy injected her with a serum that gave her immunity to some chemicals, super strength and increased durability
  3. In one of the comic book stories, she mutated into a hyena maybe that's why she feels connected enough to one that she adopts him
  4. Harley names her pet hyena, Bruce, after Bruce Wayne

She calls the Joker Puddin and Mistah J. Well, she used to. Now it ain't about him anymore and Harley is shining all on her own. And she's shining brightly. One of her latest Funko Pop! figures is Harley and Bruce all decked out for the Christmas holidays. And she's decorated her sledge hammer to match her festive outfit. What more could a girl want for Christmas?

I think this is a great stocking stuffer for Christmas this year and it's perfect for the Harley Quinn fan on your list. On my list that fan would be me. I love to write lists when I have lots of gifts to buy and I do have a "ME" column on that list. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
