Cindy Busby was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 18, 1983. She began dreaming of becoming an actress when she was just a child. Throughout her elementary and high school years, she loved performing in front of an audience. Therefore, she made sure she was involved in as many of the school productions as was possible.
After she graduated from high school, Cindy was accepted from among hundreds of applicants into the Professional Theater Program at Dawson College in Montreal. After she trained for three years, her hard work began to pay off immediately. Not only did she receive an award for academic excellence, but she also began to get movie roles.
Official Acting Career
Cindy's official acting career started in 1999 when she was only 16 years old. She is well-known in her role as Ashley Stanton in 51 episodes of the Canadian family drama Heartland that aired on CBC from 2007 through 2011.
Cindy acted in her first Hallmark movie in a supporting role in Lucky in Love in 2014. She also had a supporting role in Cedar Cove as Rebecca Jennings in 2014 and 2015.

Hallmark Co-Stars
Cindy has shown obvious chemistry with her male co-stars, especially with Christopher Russell in three Hallmark movies. Russell admitted what it was like to work with Cindy in their 2016 movie A Puppy for Christmas, their 2020 movie Love in the Forecast, and in their 2021 movie Chasing Waterfalls. It was their last Hallmark movie together. He mentioned how supportive they are of each other.
