Mistaken Identity (1999) Not Rated
This is the classic, must-see Lifetime movie that viewers go for. A well-to-do couple and a poor mother both have babies on the same day in the same hospital. A mistake is made that causes the babies to be switched. The parents endure a psychological and legal battle that tests their wills and ability to determine what is best for the children.
Melissa Gilbert's role tested me a little bit. Her character is occasionally overbearing and she attempts to control the lives of both children. I also felt a little bad for Rosanna Arquette's character as the single mother with few resources. But this is an all-around good film for those who want to watch an impossible-to-deal-with situation played out on the screen.
