Electrical People: How Do They Do It?

Having seen quite a bit lately on electrical people I felt I should share my findings with my readers. I know the first thing you are thinking, "What is an electrical person?" An electrical person is someone who has the ability to conduct electricity with their body, in some cases being able to take dozens on times as much current than an average person could. Such people are able to connect electrical wires from live outlets to their bodies and attach things like light bulbs to their ears, head, arms, etc and power them.

One individual with this ability is Zhang Deke, 71, is able to do this and control the brightness of the lightbulbs attached to his body. He was also able to cook a fish in is hand when connected to the electric current. Zhang Deke discovered this amazing ability when he was a highway maintenance worker in China. He accidentally touched electrical connections that should have shocked him but he felt nothing. He was examined at a later time after he had tested this ability thoroughly and results were inconclusive. Scientists believe that he has an unexplained resistance to the deadly effects of electricity but were still at a loss to explain how he does not get electrocuted.

Another such person is Kiran Mohan of India who is able to not only power lights with his body but also has the ability to run a blender and other electrical devices. He discovered his ability as a young child after losing his mother. Distraught, he attempted to commit suicide by climbing an electrical pole and grabbing hold of a transformer. He received no shock. As his life progressed he tested himself with electricity and began to realize he was very different from almost everyone else.

I have included a video of him below running a light, blender, and eventually a hot plate. One thing mentioned in the video and should be understood here is that a 0.1 of an amp can kill a man. In the case of the light bulb (depending on the electrical panel) can be anywhere from 0.25 amps to 0.55 amps. In the case of the blender it is said that it is a 3.0 amp blender and in the case of the hot plate although it doesn't say how many amps it is understood to be much higher than the blender.

While the scientific community continues to be baffled by how a tiny fraction of the human race is able to perform these types of feats one it can be said that it is tied to resistance. As in the video above when they tested the resistance of Mohan's body to that of the host it is at least 10 times more resistant and as the meter kept rising probably more. But how some people have incredibly more resistance than others is still a mystery.

That's what I was thinking, my husband and I were kind of like uh.... looks like they'll have a hard time saving his life if he has a heart attack. I hope for his sake nothing like that ever happens. Of course the electrical current he runs through his body could be keeping his heart from having such an episode. Interesting to know what a doctor would do in a case like this. Especially, if they didn't know about his gift.

Daughter Of Maat - I suppose it would be much more difficult to jumpstart his heart, not sure they could do it on the spot as defibrillators probably have safety limits. For it to effect his heart it would have to at least be a few dozen times stronger than a normal person needs.

WOW--incredibly, dangerously interesting!

My husband is pretty resistant to electricity--it doesn't bother him if he gets a shock--he will change and install fixtures without turning off the circuit breaker, and used to check the spark on a running engine by laying his hands across the spark plugs. But this?? I don't think so!

Wow... that's intense! So what happens if he needs his heart shocked back into rhythm? A normal defibrillator wouldn't work. Would they have to hook him up to a transformer??? Just a thought...
