PanamaTrickster Reviews: Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Starting out a bit slow, this continuation to the MCU feels a bit lackluster having to ride the coattails of Spiderman No Way Home. But without it's predecessor being a factor, Multiverse of Madness certainly holds it's own.

Elisabeth Olsen's Wanda is believable, relatable, and so easy to empathize with whether you share her passion and reason or not. The edition of Xochitl Gomez was a wonderful choice to the MCU, and I hope we see more of her in future installments.

The CGI elements were a bit overwhelming, but easily forgiven, being that the movie essentially has to work around the unbelievable. But it would have been nice for a few more practical effects to have made their way into this.

As far as the plot, it was about what you might expect a movie to tie in the previous phase to the new phase of MCU to contain. Nothing extraordinary, but far from dull or boring.
