Sometimes, I pick the wrong day to have a drink or two and I should have been drinking the entire time I saw this mess of a movie. What I watched, I'm really not sure.

Billed as a disaster movie, the movie begins with an earthquake in the western part of Australia, where the alarms at the Western Atomic Longterm Dumping Organization (WALDO) go off waking Heinrich Schmidt (Ross Thompson). Heinrich dons his nuclear apparel and heads down into the bowels of the facility but is contaminated by waste. Like a tidal wave and then some.

As he lays in bed, he's told he only has three days left and the doctor (Michael Long) what to know what it's like having been cooked. The president of WALDO Byron Langley (Arthur Sherman) tells him that he's doing a wonderful job and is grateful for what he's done (but he doesn't tell him that his job has been posted).

Heinrich tells Langley that they have to warn the people about the contaminated water and as any crooked CEO would tell you, they've already done so. As Langley reassures him, Heinrich escapes.

When an alert goes out to all WALDO personnel, Heinrich kills the driver (Tim Burns) of the jeep that he's been hiding in.

He manages to find his way to the cabin where Larry (Steve Bisley) and his wife Carmel (Arna-Maria Winchester) are having a romantic getaway. Carmel sees Heinrich in the window and Larry carries him in.

Carmel tends to him and the next morning, he can't remember anything from 1957 to 1977, but has flashbacks.

Gray (Ralph Cotterill) one of the heavies of WALDO, locates Heinrich and sets out to find and kill him.

At the scene of the accident, radiation is detected, and the area is closed down.

While Larry goes to town for something, Heinrich and Carmel get to know one another better as she tries to help him remember his past. He remembers his father and then the contaminated water that no one has mentioned.

Meanwhile, Larry is chased through the countryside and is then thrown in jail for the murder of the driver. Larry tells the Police Sgt. McSweeney (Laurie Moran) that he didn't kill him, but Heinrich.

One of Heinrich's friends, Eagle (Hugh Keays-Byrne) breaks into the jail and brings Larry up to date on what is happening with Heinrich.

Then the thugs go to the cabin and since Larry and Carmel have been exposed to radiation, thanks to Heinrich, they're put in a hot shower and manage to escape.

The end.

This really isn't a disaster movie per say, but it does have nudity full frontal of both leads, which is shocking for a disaster movie. I'm only calling it a disaster movie because it is a really bad movie.

Oh, and Mel Gibson is uncredited as a mechanic on his back.

I don't think MST3K, Rifftrax or FanboyFlicks could save this wreck.
