All about Stephanie
Stephanie Kay Johnson was introduced on Days of Our Lives in 1990 and initially portrayed by Amanda and Jessica Gunnarson until 1992. Shayna Rose had the role from 2006 until 2007and Shelly Hennig took over from 2007 until 2017. Stephanie’s life has been full of drama from an early age as she was kidnapped as an infant by her nanny, Sheila Salisbury. Stephanie was later found safe and unharmed in Australia After her father Steve Johnson's (Stephen Nichols) alleged death, Stephanie and her mom, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) moved to Los Angeles. The last time Stephanie Johnson was on Days of Our Lives was in 2017 when her parents remarried. The last time she was mentioned, was when her brother Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) was released from jail and left Salem to live with her. Stephanie has a surprise sibling waiting when she returns to Salem as she has not yet met her half-brother Tripp Johnson ( Lucas Adams). The two share Steve as a father but his mother is psycho Ava Vitali ( Tamara Braun). Hopefully by the time she returns home the possession storyline will finally be over. DOOL viewers are saying they desire something different and perhaps Ms. Johnson will be just that.
Stephanie first returns on Peacock
Klein will make her debut and Stephanie Johnson will be reintroduced to the Salem scene on the DOOL Peacock spin-off series Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2 which begins on July 11. Days Head Writer Ron Carlivati told Soap Opera Digest that he saw this as the ideal opportunity to ease the character back into the swing of things. According to Soaps.com Carlivati said the following. “One of the great things about [the spinoff] is that it gives us an opportunity to catch up with people who have left town, given that almost the entire story takes place in these other locations. This is an example of that. It will be interesting to find out where she is in her life and what might bring her back to Salem.” The first Beyond Salem, as well as Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas, were their own separate tales and did not have anything to do with storylines taking place on the NBC soap. This suggests that whatever happens on Peacock with Stephanie may have no bearing on what happens on the NBCC soap. In addition to Stephanie's return Beyond Salem, will reunite two fan favorites Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Nothing has been revealed regarding the plot of the Peacock series except that like the original it will take place in locations around the world.m Stephanie was last in Salem, she was involved with Phillip Kiriaki and a few other men in Salem so stay tuned to find out what Ms. Johnson will be up to.
