Greedy Businessmen, Chucky and Military Academy

Child's Play 3 follows the events of Child's Play 2 many years after as Chucky returns to seek revenge on Andy. This movie stars Andy (Justin Whalin), De Silva (Perrey Reeves), Tyler (Jeremy Sylvers), and Chucky (Brad Dourif).

The good guy doll is remade even with the outcry after the events of the first two movies as the greedy businessman CEO behind the doll is only after his money. Getting karma shortly after, Chucky seeks his revenge by shipping himself to an older Andy who is attending a military academy. But he is accidentally grabbed by a younger cadet Tyler and Chucky manipulates him into becoming friends only wanting to do this to use him later on for a new body. Andy becomes aware of this later on in the movie and saves Tyler also sending Chucky into a large fan which presumably kills him.

I think Child's Play 3 is the weakest of the first three movies by far. The whole concept of taking place in a military academy makes sense for Andy's character but apart from that just feels like a horror parody of Major Payne in many aspects. Da Silva and Tyler are great additions to the cast. Also, the movie has a good amount of kills but is held back by the annoyingly long military academy training scenes. We are here for Chucky not to see Andy train for the military. Andy also gives a good performance here even if it is held back by many boring pointless scenes.

Final Score: 5 out of 10 Military Salutes
