Superhero movies have become a Twitter trends nowadays and the biggest name in this game is Marvel. After a successful launch of “Iron Man” in 2008, the Marvel CEO Kevin Feige started experimenting over and over.

Marvel Studios is famous for casting and showing its long and interconnected stories with a lot of mighty crossovers. The experiment was proved to be successful after the great achievement of “The Avengers” in 2012.

We can still see the Marvel Universe grow bigger and better as it has already entered phase 4 and has planned all the movies for phase 5. Now we will be seeing some of the upcoming big projects and crossovers in MCU.

The list will be specific to upcoming Marvel movies so you won't find Sony’s “Mobius” or “Venom 3” on the list as the right for these characters are still owned by Sony but we may come across a big crossover Of Sony and Marvel Universe.

Marvel recently launched its movie “The Eternals” on 5 November 2021 and now fans are eagerly waiting for the next movie(Spiderman: No Way Home).

Spider-Man: No Way Home – December 17, 2021

Till now we have seen a variety of Spiderman movies, from Spiderman 1,2,3 to The Amazing Spiderman and Spiderman: Homecoming. Jon Watts, who directed the MCU Spiderman: Homecoming and Spiderman: Far From Home is back with a new Spiderman movie on (Spiderman: No Way Home).

In the last marvel Spiderman movie(Spiderman: Far From Home) we saw that Peter’s identity was exposed and fans are eagerly waiting for this upcoming movie.

Since this movie also features Benedict Cumberbatch playing the role of Doctor Strange which has made it more difficult for fans to wait. Fans are also excited to see this new crossover on the big screen.

On 24 August marvel dropped a teaser regarding No Way Home and since then fans were waiting for a trailer which was then released on 17 November.

The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Foxx, J.B. Smoove and Alfred Molina.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness – May 6, 2022

Sam Raimi the director and Co-writer of Sony’s Spiderman 1,2,3 signed for a direct sequel in 2018 with Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his title role. The movie will hit the theatre in summer. Since the first movie Doctor, Strange was continuing his research on the Time Stone.

This movie will focus on the further story and there are rumours that it may feature an epic crossover and the return of Mordo who was previously turned from friend to foe.

The Cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez. Since Elizabeth Olsen is also a part of the cast we may expect a dual of Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch.

The movie is set of events after Avenger: Endgame with Elizabeth Olsen continuing her appearance after the series WandaVision and the timeline for the story may tie in with the first season of the series “Loki”.

Thor: Love And Thunder – July 8, 2022

For the longest time, it was assumed that the Marvel Universe won’t expand its solo movies after a perfect example of Ironman and Captain America. In January 2018 Chris Hemsworth expressed his interest in playing the role of Thor.

By July 2019, Taika Waititi signed to write and direct the fourth Thor movie. As the name suggests Thor: Love and Thunder movie will feature a story somewhat related to the romance, action as Natalie Portman will also be featured in this movie as Jane Foster.

The Cast Includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Jeff Goldblum, Jamie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone and Russell Crowe.

We will see Cristian Bale playing the role of Gorr The God Butcher. It’s been confirmed that the story will pick up after the events of Avenger: Endgame. There have been rumours that we might get to see Natalie Portman transforming into Thor and fight alongside Thor.

However, it is unknown at present how this fits into the plot.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - November 11, 2022

In August 2020 people around the globe were shocked to hear that the legendary actor Chadwick Boseman had passed away. It was also a piece of heartbreaking news for the marvel fans who were eagerly waiting for Plack Panther 2.

Kevin Feige has confirmed that they won’t be recasting the black panther and wanted to honour Chadwick Boseman and the legacy of Wakanda that he left behind. However, Ryan Coogler the director of the movie Black Panther and Black Panther franchise signed to write a direct sequel to Black Panther(2018).

Some of the main cast and crew were also confirmed by November 2020. There are rumours that we might get to see Dominique Throne making her debut as Ironheart in a Disney+ series that is set to launch after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The cast Includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Dominique Thorne and Martin Freeman.

Facts and Leaks

  • Phase 4 is about the multiverse and we have already seen this concept introduced to us again and again in Avengers: Endgame, Wanda Vision, Loki. Rumours are also that the concept of the multiverse is explained in the upcoming movie Spiderman: No Way Home and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
  • Rumours are the title Spiderman: No Way Home implies that Tobey Maguire(Spiderman) and Andrew Garfield(Spiderman) somehow may come into Marvel Universe and are unable to go back to their native worlds.
  • There have been rumours that the movie Spiderman: No Way Home may start from the ending of Spiderman: Far from Home.
  • There will be hints about Fantastic 4 as Marvel has been filming Baxter Building since Avengers.
  • This movie may help to establish Sony Marvel Universe and we can expect to see all 3 Spidermen in the same movie.
