BTS 2016 Journey: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life
DISCOGRAPHY
On March 15, 2016, BTS released their sixth Japanese single album, Run. It contains Japanese versions of “Run” and “Butterfly,” and an original Japanese song titled, “Good Day.”
On May 2, 2016, BTS released The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever which serves as their first Korean compilation album. The album contains twenty-three tracks, including three new singles. These are “Epilogue: Young Forever,” “Fire,” and “Save me.” Most tracks in the album are coming from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2. It also includes some remixes. Young Forever is considered a special album that marks the conclusion of BTS’ epic journey series.
On September 7, 2016, BTS released Youth, their second Japanese studio album through Pony Canyon. The album contains 13 tracks and features the singles, “For You,” “I Need U,” and “Run.”
On October 10, 2016, Wings was released under Big Hit Entertainment with “Blood, Sweat, & Tears” as their title track. The album contains 15 tracks. It is their 2nd full-length album, and the concept was heavily influenced by Hermann Hesse’s coming-of-age novel, Demian which deals with temptation and growth. In this album, the seven BTS members encounter temptation for the first time. They experience pain and bliss like a bird coming out of its shell.
CONCERTS
On January 24, 2016, BTS had their 2nd Muster concert at Hwajung Gymnasium in Seoul with 9,000 attendees while their 3rd Muster was held at the Gocheok Sky Dome, also in Seoul, with 38,000 attendees on November 12 and November 13, 2016.
CONCERT TOURS
BTS continued their concert tour, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life On Stage Tour which started on November 27, 2015 and ended on August 14, 2016. The concert tour showcased the album series, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. The concerts were held around Asia with 22 shows; a total of 182,500 attendees.
FANMEETINGS
On November 9, 2016, BTS held their Japan Official Fanmeeting Volume 3 in Fukuoka, Japan at Marine Messe Fukuoka; on November 28, 29, and 30 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium; on December 6 and 7 at Nippon Gaishi Hall; and on December 15, 2016, at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan. Overall, there were 70,000 attendees.
SHOWS
On January 5, 2016, the 4th episode of Run BTS Silmi-do Special was released following the 3rd part which was released in December 2015. The variety show had a one-year break after that episode due to BTS’ busy schedule and the release of a new show called Bon Voyage.
Bon Voyage is a reality show where BTS travels around the world while doing fun activities. The show premiered on July 5, 2016, and the 8th and final episode of its first season was released on August 23, 2016. Their vacation destination was Norway, Sweden, and Finland which lasted over 10 days. The show was actually a gift for their third anniversary.

BTS was also given Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation by South Korea, marking their first state and cultural honors in their career, a very impressive achievement that proves BTS' great influence and contribution to their own country.
