Ash Ketchum Leaving Pokémon? Goh is the Main Character Now?!

I love Pokémon and have been watching the anime/cartoon ever since I was a little child! Pokémon is still popular!

No Galar Starter for Ash?

It's surprising, but Ash hasn't caught any Galar starter at the time of this article. Both Galar starters went to the new protagonist, Goh. Scorbunny and Sobble are both caught by Goh. Now, there is only 1 starter left, Grookey. Will Ash catch this little guy? We shall see in the coming episode. Personally, he might not even catch Grookey because he already has 6 Pokémon on his team. In all past seasons, Ash caught at least one starter Pokémon during his journey.

The Other Main Protagonist Caught a Legendary Pokémon

This is almost unbelievable! Instead Ash Ketchum, Goh caught Suicune. This gorgeous water type is perfect for Ash to become a Pokémon master. However, the writers decided to give it to Goh instead. Maybe they are slowly transitioning to Goh as the main man for Pokémon. If Ash can catch another legendary Pokémon in the future, he might still be considered important in the writers' eyes.

Goh is Catching Pokémon at an Alarming Rate

Usually, Ash doesn't catch more than a few Pokémon in each region. But Goh catches Pokémon mostly without any emotional bond and just throws his Poke balls. In all honesty, it makes the show more boring if Pokémon comes so easily. At this rate, Goh will have a lot more Pokémon than Ash. Are the writers shifting gear from Ash to Goh? Will Ash still appear in more Pokémon shows and movies?

Pikachu to the Rescue Maybe!

Pikachu is the mascot of Pokémon. If they somehow removed Ash from the series, then Pikachu will no longer appear in the episodes as well. That might get Pokémon fans very angry because Pikachu has a huge following. However, that being said, Pikachu's popularity is decreasing and he is definitely not as popular as Charizard or even Gengar. Also, Ash's Charizard hasn't appeared for a long time so maybe Ash is really getting booted out of the Pokémon universe. Ash's Charizard didn't even get a mega evolution and will probably not get Gigantamax form. So, Ash is really being marginalized.

Ash is Now a Pokémon Champion!

After all these years of trying to become a Pokémon master, Ash finally wins the Alola league. Maybe this is an indicator that he has now fulfilled his goal and will slowly disappear from the anime all together. After the introduction of Galar region, the Pokémon show now has two protagonists, Ash and Goh. This dual protagonist system has never been done before. So, the TV series is definitely headed to a new direction.

Team Rocket is Not Appearing in Every Episode Anymore

Aside from Ash and Pikachu, the Rocket trio always appears in every episode. With the introduction of Galar, James, Jessie, and Meowth are no longer appearing very often. This is very sad but refreshing at the same time because the three villains are sometimes annoying. However, this could also mean that the Pokémon series is headed to new direction with all new casts. For now at least, enjoy Ash while you still can!

Ash's New Pokémon Team is Very Strong!

Unlike all the other regions before, Ash Ketchum actually has very strong Pokémon on his team. With Dragonite, Gengar, and Lucario, Ash might just get crowned again at Galar by beating Leon. Just a thought, but it's very possible. With another major win in the Pokémon universe and a crowned champion. He will probably stay in Galar to take on challengers. Then, Goh will become the new protagonist! But personally, Goh is really not a favorite character of mine. He catches a lot of Pokémon but that's about it. So, Goh is kind of boring.
