Yes, it is hard to give a list so large without something being missed. I applaud your effort at compiling such a list.
larryfreeman (author) from Fremont, CA on January 08, 2017:
Hi Robert,
Sorry for the delayed response. Busy year. So many movies. I was bound to miss some. I'm planning to update this page and I will be glad to add the movies that you have mentioned.
Robert Sacchi on January 03, 2016:
Thank you. Reading the list brought back memories. Have you considered adding the original "Cat People" (1942) or its sequel "The Curse of the Cat People" (1944)? I noticed some of the Tarzan movies weren't on your list. Is there any reason why some were left off the list? "Son of Kong" is considered a weak sequel.
Greensleeves Hubs from Essex, UK on September 02, 2015:
A very complete compendium of movies of the fantasy genre and related genres.
Some of the more obscure titles are probably difficult to access these days, but it would be interesting to watch them, partly to see how fantasy sequences were handled at a time when special effects were limited, and partly to see how the philosophy of the age treated themes such as sci-fi and mythology differently to what would be the case today.
