Backstreet Boys Songs for Every Emotion
It's been years since their last album, but the inner 90s tween in me feels that The Backstreet Boys deserve some recognition for their years of success. To that end, the following hub will be dedicated to The Backstreet Boys and the many emotions their songs emit. After listening to absolutely every Backstreet Boys song produced, the list is complete. For those of you who loved/have loved/will love BSB and are wondering which song would best fit your current mood, look no further.
Angry- Although some of these songs may not actually emit an angry message (such as"Larger Than Life" and "Everyone"), the beat works well for when you're angry and need a tune to stomp your feet to. Whether you're extremely angry with someone or are looking for a good song for a run, these songs should fit the bill.
"Larger Than Life", "The Call", "Don't Want You Back", "Get Another Boyfriend", "Everyone", "Not for Me", "Panic", "Treat Me Right"
Broken-Hearted- With a wide range of love songs comes a large following of heart-break songs. The following could also fall under the "Sad" or "Lonely" category, but these are more directly geared toward those who are hurting because of one specific person.
"10,000 Promises", "That's What She Said", "If I Don't Have You", "Siberia", "Back to Your Heart", "Not for Me", "Incomplete", "Just Want You to Know", "I Still...", "Climbing the Walls", "Inconsolable", "In Pieces", "If I Knew Then", "Shattered", "Undone"
Carefree-These are great driving songs in particular. For days when you simply couldn't care about anything but driving with the windows down and the breeze flowing through your fingers, carefree songs will add to the atmosphere. When you want to kick back, relax and not care about anything, these songs will fit your mood.
"Poster Girl", "Everything But Mine", "Roll With It", "You Can Let Go", "Downpour", "Straight Through My Heart", "Bye Bye Love", "Bigger"
Committed-These songs are for those times when you're sure you've found the one with whom you want to spend the rest of your life. These are the typical "wedding songs" that express permanent commitment to someone. When you need a Backstreet Boys song to express your permanent, unending love for someone, simply pick from the following list.
"Don't Wanna Lose You Now", "No one Else Comes Close", "I Promise You (With Everything I Am)", "Yes I Will", "Safest Place to Hide", "Never Gone, Bigger", "This is Us"
Confused- No one has it all figured out and The Backstreet Boys sympathize. Whether it's your job, the weather or (more likely) love that's got you tilting your head, BSB have provided a soundtrack. Here's some songs for when you're just plain confused.
"Darlin", "Back to Your Heart", "The Answer to Our Life", "Treat Me Right", "Unmistakable", "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon"
Excited- Some of these are also very happy songs, but these are meant more for the go-to dance songs. These songs are grouped together specifically for their upbeat tempo and catchy beats for those times when you just have to dance. If you're getting pumped up and going out, here's your Backstreet Boys playlist.
"Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", "Get Down (You're the One for Me)", "We've Got it Goin' On", "Boys will be Boys", "I Wanna Be With You", "Lets Have a Party", "Hey Mr. Dj (Keep Playin' This Song)", "It's Gotta Be You", "Everything But Mine", "Any Other Way", "Straight Through My Heart", "All of Your Life (You Need Love)", "Masquerade"
Frustrated- Clearly The Backstreet Boys know what it feels like to be broken-hearted and confused, but they also know how it feels to have all those emotions mixed with anger. The following songs are all about frustration. Feeling angry and torn? BSB knows the feeling.
"Quit Playing Games (With my Heart)", "Panic", "Treat Me Right", "If I Knew Then"
Funky- There is only one song that could be listed here. The lyrics themselves and even the beat (at times) are pretty sad and reminiscent, but you cannot get past the main beat throughout. When hearing a muted, "Going down diggy diggy down diggy down" and funky is the only thing that comes to mind.
"Set Adrift on Memory Bliss"
Grateful-This is another stand-out song from The Backstreet Boys that is hard to categorize. It's dedicated to their mothers so if you're feeling grateful to your mom for all she's done for you, this is the perfect song.
"The Perfect Fan"
Guilty- Similar to those feeling repentant except lacking remorse, those feeling guilty aren't necessarily sorry about what they've done. There's only one song that could possibly fit the bill here.
"The Call"
Happy- This one's pretty self-explanatory. These songs are great for when you're just in a great mood and want to listen to a happy song. Although "I Want it That Way" is not a particularly happy song, I categorized it as such since it's one of their biggest songs and often brings back happy memories of when it was popular (and who really knows what that song is about anyway?).
"I Want It That Way", "Shining Star", "The Answer to Our Life", "Poster Girl", "My Beautiful Woman", "Bye Bye Love", "Bigger", "All of Your Life (You Need Love)", "Masquerade"
Hopelessly Romantic-These songs are for those who are in love
but desperately so. If you're feeling hopelessly romantic to the point
that love is the food you eat, the water you drink and the air you
breathe, here's your Backstreet Boys playlist.
"As Long As
You Love Me", "All I have to Give", "Don't Wanna Lose You Now", "How Did
I Fall In Love With You", "Lose it All", "Safest Place to Hide",
"Helpless When She Smiles", "This is Us", "Drowning"
In Love- What
would a boy band be without a massive list of love songs? After over 17
years of recording together, The Backstreet Boys have certainly made
their fill of love songs to pull at the heartstrings of girls across the
nation. These songs are for those of you who are feeling that
inexplicable feeling of love and could use a Backstreet Boys song to
express that feeling.
"I'll Never Break Your Heart", "More Than That", "Anywhere for You", "Like a Child", "Spanish Eyes", "No one Else Comes Close", "I Promise You (With Everything I Am)", "More than That", "Yes I Will", "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)", "Never Gone", "Rush Over Me", "Last Night You Saved My Life", "Everything But Mine", "Any Other Way", "Love Will Keep You Up All Night", "Nowhere to Go", "Straight Through My Heart", "Bigger", "She's a Dream"
Lonely- Similar and often coinciding with the sad times,
loneliness is a special category of sadness that is reserved for those
all on their own. Lonely and longing anyone at all? The Backstreet Boys
have got it covered.
"Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely", "Lose it All", "Trouble Is", "Unmistakable", "Satellite"
Longing- These
songs aren't necessarily for those times when you're longing another
person (although sometimes fit there as well). These songs are for
moments when you want something and can't necessarily put your finger on
it.
"Downpour", "This is Us"
Mischievous- Not a wide selection, but here's a couple of songs for those ne'er-do-wells who are up to no good.
"The Call", "I Wanna Be With You"
Reminiscent- These songs are for those times when you think back over your life and wistfully remember all the good and bad times you've had.
"Time", "Just Want You to Know", "If I Knew Then"
Repentant- These songs are great for when you've done something terrible and have learned from your mistakes. If you're feeling sorry for something you've done and are yearning for forgiveness, these are the songs for you.
"Every Time I Close My Eyes", "I Need You Tonight", "Back to Your Heart", "Shape of My Heart", "It's True", "Crawling Back to You", "If I Knew Then"
Resilient-These songs are for when you feel like you can persevere through anything. When you have seen your share of pain and suffering but have lived through it, you may share the message of the following playlist. If you've been through some hard times and are all the stronger for it, these are for you.
"Roll with It", "More than That", "Just Want You to Know", "Weird World", "Never Gone", "Song for the Unloved", "Movin' On", "One in a Million", "Downpour", "Bye Bye Love", "All of Your Life (You Need Love)"
Sad- Again, pretty self-explanatory. The Backstreet Boys are fantastic at mass-producing sad songs for those feeling down in the dumps.
"I Want It That Way", "I Need You Tonight", "Siberia", "Shape of My Heart", "How Did I Fall In Love With You", "Lose it All", "Never Gone", "Song for the Unloved", "Something That I Already Know", "Love Will Keep You Up All Night", "Unmistakable"
Scared- Here are a couple of songs for those feeling a bit tense and unsure of the future.
"Don't Wanna Lose You Now", "You Can Let Go"
Sensual-The Backstreet Boys were known as sex symbols in the 90s for a reason. Here's a pretty extensive list of all the songs BSB has provided us to get us in the mood. If you're feeling sensual and could use a good Backstreet Boys playlist to go with your mood, here it is.
"Just to be Close to You", "Darlin", "Nobody but You", "That's the Way I Like It", "If You Want it to be Good Girl (Get Yourself a Bad Boy)", "Shining Star", "My Beautiful Woman", "Last Night You Saved My Life", "Love Will Keep You Up All Night", "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon", "PDA"
Triumphant- These songs are for those times when you're feeling on top of the world where nothing/no one can defeat you.
"The One", "Larger Than Life", "Everyone"

I like your write ups on the Backstreet Boys. You really dug up the emotions on each song.. Just love the way you did it. Keep on doing this kind of thing. For me their the best boy singing group that came out in the
90's . A thousand claps for this.
