These are wonderful, awesome movies for teenagers that has a message of freedom, hope, life, purpose, love, family, wisdom and many more things that will inspire, help them grow into the individuals they are meant to become and help them with daily issues they face.

Pivot Point

This is a powerful drama. This movie explores the journey of four teens and the deep emotional things they struggle with on their own, but later on they discover that their lives are connected in a way they never imagined. They all wish they to go back and change one crucial event in time. This film shows us how each small choice can make a good or bad impact and can change the outcome of our entire lives and the lives of others. It is a real wake up call to what a teens go through and the things they have to face about themselves.

To Save a Life

To Save a Life is about a popular student who thinks he has everything in life. His entire world is shaken when a childhood friend who is unpopular and has no real friends commits suicide. It led him to take an extreme look at his view of life, his treatment of his peers and the unpopular kids at school. This event really changed him. This is a movie with a powerful message for teens to think about the lives of others and it also does a good job in showing them what really matters the most. It is not being popular and known to his peers and status. It causes teenagers to take a hard look at the heart, motives and intentions of their heart. This is a great movie for middle school and high school aged youth to help them be aware of depression, alcohol, drugs, depression and suicide.

Finding Faith (2013)

This is an intense suspense thriller based on actual events. It is about a teenage girl who was texting someone she believed to be a teenage boy, but was not and when they met, she was kidnapped instead. This movie actually shows how sex slavery is taking place in America and different parts of the world. It also serves as very good warning for teens to be aware of speaking to strangers online and not to be too naïve and trusting to anyone, but show extreme caution. A good movie for Parents, teens and pre-teens. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Erik Estrada stars in this movie.

Not Today (2013)

A story that wakes up a twenty year old to come out of himself and his father's wealth to care about the events in another country and another culture. This will impact a teen’s heart and life. Movies like these opens our eyes to horrific things occurring elsewhere. It drives them to take opportunities to be the answer to this problem and do something about it.

Gimme Shelter (2014)

A pregnant teenager runs away from her drug- addicted mother to search for her wealthy father, who she never knew and met. She eventually found him and his wife and kids and stayed there for a while. She did not get the love and help she was expecting as a result of finding out she was pregnant. She was forced to find her own way of survival. Eventually she found love and acceptance from people who she can call the family shelter she has been searching for a long time. This is a powerful inspirational movie.

The Frontier Boys (2012)

This is a wonderful film for teenage boys. The story of four high school boys who were close friends since they were little kids. Their friendship is threatened after an event takes place. One of them ends up in a coma and the other has a secret he is keeping from the others. The movie shows how with the power of friends, family and an understanding of God's grace, things can change. There is a powerful message for teens. This movie is filled with excitement, love for basketball, the importance of family and friends and also telling the truth.


October Baby

October Baby is about a college student, Hannah. Her world was shattered when she realized that her parents have kept a secret from her. She became so confused and angry that she does not know who she is anymore. This has led her to take a journey to find the answers to the questions that is troubling her. Her friend Jason is there for him. As she goes searches, she discovered secrets from her family that helped her to understand the truth. This changed the course of her life and changed her as a person. Through this she gains the strength to move on. This is a very powerful, touching movie.

Deadly Choice

Deadly Choice has to do with a young woman pregnant and her father the doctor finds out. A very powerful drama on a doctor and his daughter facing the issue of abortion from different sides. They both have to confront the issue head on from differing viewpoints. The movie shows the results of the choices that affect their entire lives. It presents the cost of each side. I have never seen a movie that really addresses the concerns of abortion, pregnancy, adoption in such bold way. This is a must see for teens, parents and the youth.

We just saw Gimme Shelter and were moved beyond words at the life some teens are forced to live. It was such a touching movie about one girl's decision to stand up for her personal belief. I can see how this movie would be great for young teens, especially girls, to watch.
