It can be very difficult to find wholesome clean entertainment free of sex, violence and bad behavior, bad language, especially if you want to enforce family values, a standard of morality, integrity and truth to your children. There are many classic TV shows like Little House on the Prairie, Lassie, Highway to Heaven, Christy, the Cosby Show, Full House, the Waltons and many others that instilled values and taught many lessons. But here are some more clean, modern shows for everyone and the entire family to watch.

When Calls the Heart (2014)

I truly enjoy shows like these, where the entire family can watch together and not be concerned with sex and the violence. It is really clean, wonderful entertainment, heartfelt conversations, love and cooperation of a community and lot more in this series.

When Calls the Heart is based on the Book by Janette Oke, who is also the author of the Love Comes Softly Series. A movie was first made of this book, now there is a new family drama tht continues on from the move. This TV show is shown weekly on the Hallmark Channel. It is directed by Michael Landon Jr. and stars Erin Krakow, Lori Loughlin and Daniel Hissing.

Touched by Angel is the only one I'm familiar with. Perhps the others re newer. However, if they're all on the Hallmrk Channel, I believe they're good. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the useful information! I did not know about these programs! I loved watching the Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie, it's nice to know that great programs with moral values are still out there. Voted up!

I absolutely agree. Most of the stuff on TV are horrible. I am always on a search for wholesome entertainment. Thanks for reading my hub and for your comment.

Sallie B Middlebrook PhD from Texas, USA on April 16, 2014:

Thanks for this Hub. Television has gotten so "scary," from questionable content to blood and gore, to horrible horror. I'm finding it harder and harder to find shows I see as wholesome, educational, and/or inspiring.
