Inspiration—We all need it everyday. Don’t we?

There are days, when we feel low or depressed. At that moment, we need some comforting words, some reassurance, some encouragement, some motivation.

And that inspiration and encouragement, can come from any source, and it’s always welcome.
Films, movies, music, books, good inspirational biographies, do provide the much needed inspiration in our lives.
Movies are influenced by the real life events and stories.
As such, they influence and encourage, when we need it the most.
It’s amazing, how we are reminded of a particular song, at a happy, or sad moment of our lives.
Some movies leave an everlasting impression on the viewers, as far as the inspiration quotient is concerned.

Chitrangana,

Teachers said Karan was very poor in studies. They always judged that boy basing on his marksheet when his mother attended the school to collect the result. She used to say I was not a schooled person. Her husband came home every day only around 9pm.

But I had different opinion about that boy. I became friendlier with him. I asked him to take me to his home He agreed. Then one evening I walked with him towatds his home after the final bell. After that he became friendlier. I visited alone one Friday. I was sipping tea and chatting with Karan and his mom. Surprisingly, that evening his father came home!! We greeted each other. Then he sat beside Karan carrying a smile on his face.

After a while he told me that he had never pressured his son to study and do homeworks. The way his dad had done to him. He said his had never gone to school, yet he had managed reputed sweet shops in Kathmandu. Later on, he was admitted to a reputed school in Ranchi. There he studied hard. Then later on he completed his college from there itself. Afterwards, he returned to Kathmandu to look after his dad's shops.

he also told me that his class friend M.S. Dhoni, the moment he reached home he would fling his school bag. Then he would carry cricket bats and balls and run to ground every evening. As a result, the world knows Dhoni.

So, he had faith in his son, but he didn't believe in bookish knowledge only.

Once Dhoni visited Kathmandu for Pashupafinath Darshan and meet two of his friends in Kathmandu. One was Karan's Dad and another friend served in Indian Embassy. During that visit Dhoni got media attention, because a journalist recognized him in Pashupatinath temple.

Great collection Chitrangada. Each of the movies is a perfect example of an underdog sports star whether it is Shahrukh Khan in Chak De or Aamir Kahan in Lagaan who battles against overwhelming odds and came out winning.

I think I will also include "Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander " in this list. It is the perfect cycling movie with the rich/poor angle thrown in. Thanks for this great article.
