About Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou)

A second-year student named Sorata Kanda is thrown out of his dormitory for keeping a story cat. As a result, he is forced to shift to the infamous Sakura Hall of Suimei High School. Sakura Hall is a satellite dorm, known for providing shelter to misfit and eccentric students. The apparently average Sorata finds it impossible to mix with such a peculiar crowd.

The dorm is consists of Misaki, a perky animator; Ryuunosuke, a lonesome programmer; Jin, a playwright pervert, and Chihiro, the art teacher, dorm manager, and most importantly, a party girl. On the other hand, Nanami, Sorata’s friend, is pushing him to quickly find new owners for his cat so he can move back to the normal dorm. However, Sorata’s wish to leave the dorm begins to fade after the arrival of Mashiro Shiina, a pet-like word-class artist, who desires to become a mangaka one day.

As the story progresses, Sorata becomes close to Mashiro and starts to embrace the uniqueness of his new dorm. Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo explores the life of these misfits and how each of them connects through hard work, talent, friendship, and romance.

One day he witnesses the teenage actress, Mai Sakurajima walking in a library in a bunny costume. Noticed by no one else, Mai realizes only Sakuta can see her, contemplating it to be a symptom of “Puberty Syndrome”.

Sakuta helps Mai get over the rare condition while solving the mystery alongside. However, as they progress a bit, several more girls come into the picture with similar issues.

Bakuman follows the wonderful journey of two writer friends and a budding couple. Together they will overcome any obstacle that stands in their way whether it’s their career or love life. The story shows a person needs to modify themselves in order to fit in the dynamic creative industry.
