The beginning of high school comes up with lots of expectations and dreams. One of them is to join a suitable club. Trapped in confusion about which club to join, Yui Hirasawa finally decides to apply for the Light Music Club, misinterpreting it to be a place for playing simple and easy instruments like castanets. Regretting her decision to join, she apologies and quits.

On the other hand, the Light Music Club has to be discontinued due to the lack of sufficient members. This forces the club members to offer anything for free such as food and even slacking off during the club time. All for the sake of convincing Yui to join. However, Yui stays adamant about leaving because of her lack of musical background. As the last option, they give a small performance to Yui, which fills her with enigmatic passion, eventually coercing her to join the club.

What lies ahead is their hard work and a little bit of messing around with bits and practices to bring out the best of their talent. Together they are ready to make each club moment memorable.

She instantly becomes a close friend with Chino Kafuu, the introvert and precocious granddaughter of Rabbit House cafe’s founder. Chino often carries a talking rabbit named Tippy, around her head.

In return for room, she begins to work as a waitress in the cafe where she befriends Rize Tedeza, another waitress. Rize has a military background, due to which she often exhibits different behavior and impressive physical capabilities. She also meets with Chiya Ujimatsu, a waitress from a rival cafe who prefers to work at her own pace, and Sharo Kirima, another waitress working at a different cafe, who acts like a noblewoman despite being poverty-stricken.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? is a stirring comedy consisting of five young waitresses who have their own amusing and unique experiences in a town they claim to be home.
