Truths Whose Perception Will Change Your Life

Author:

There is a lot in life. Life is beautiful and magical, and it’s just amazing. But what life hasn't been is easy. Sometimes this becomes extremely obvious. And we don't make it easy for ourselves, either. We cling to habits that are hurtful, absurd, or sometimes harmful.

We go through life refusing to see simple truths, for fear that they will be very difficult to lift when in fact reconciling with those lines would greatly facilitate our daily lives and give us more joy, writes Lifehack.org. Here are some complicated truths we must learn to come to terms with.

Eight truths whose perception will change your life

1. Everyone you love will die.

No matter how ruthless it may sound, the realization that you and everyone you know will not live forever will enrich and deepen your relationship. So many people take their loved ones for granted and feel endless regret when they leave. Parents, grandparents, siblings, or friends. We never know when they will leave us. Have you called your parents or loved ones in the last few days? If no, call them right now. Our relationships are the most important thing in life and need to be nurtured.

2. We give meaning to our lives ourselves.

Buddhists believe that we create our world through our own thoughts and actions. So, a meaningful life is our own choice. It is not necessary to join peace-keeping missions or solve the problem of world hunger to make life meaningful. A beggar at a store can feel as satisfied with life as a CEO of a large company. Too often, we focus too much on what we don’t have and what we want, which makes life seem empty despite all our accomplishments.

3. There are no perfect partners.

Many people dream of a perfect relationship and a partner who will pave the way for us and make us feel forever happy from that moment on. In fact, most of us sometimes dream of the perfect "second half". But how can this affect our real relationships when our partner doesn’t fit in that perfect picture? That doesn’t mean we have to be content with someone we feel very unhappy with, but it doesn’t mean we have to expect the eternal effort to nurture a relationship.

Think of it as a masterpiece of art: you and your other half are painters that need to work together to make canvas beautiful. We can feel happy and satisfied in a relationship, but we can’t expect the canvas to come out beautifully on its own without painting it!

4. Life is a game

Why should we walk on our toes for the rest of our lives for fear that something terrible might happen? This life is for us to learn something and experience something. We have to look at it as a kind of game. Decide what you want to do in this life, learn the rules, and set the level. We can achieve nothing if we are afraid to play. Have you heard that someone would have managed to become a professional footballer without stepping on a football field? Obviously not. Right?

5. It all ends.

This point is very reminiscent of the first, only it can be even more difficult to accept. Nothing lasts forever. We will stay young for a short time, then old age will come. We will fall in love, then love will pass. We can lose the ones we love. We will live, then we will die. Many people before us lived, loved, experienced success and failure, and died. We must remember that we are no different from them. And there is no need to be sad about it, but rather to feel gratitude and excitement in living. After all, if everything lasted forever, would we feel it? Give time and value to everything. We have to appreciate everything.

6. Look at small things in a romantic way

Because we already understand that everything is coming to an end, we also know that we have to enjoy everything in life as much as we can. Everything can become so gray if we look at life through the prism of "everyday boredom." And conversely, everything is beautiful if we allow life to be that way. Choose another path to work or school, lie down on the grass and look at the clouds, or raise your eyes to the stars. Be romantic and the world will always look amazing. Take a stress-free day and enjoy life!

7. Look at big things realistically

While we should not take life too seriously, it is very important that we do not allow the right hemisphere of the brain to dominate all the time. There are a few things in life that need a little more analytical thinking from us. For example, if you want to become a famous businessperson, you have to take the right measures. A good team including managers, accountants, and directors, etc. A healthy relation and friendship with some good entrepreneurs, and much more. Many things worth doing require time and energy.

8. Don’t complain and find a way out

Almost everyone has met someone who does nothing but complain about life. We don’t pay attention to such people or they annoy us. The question arises: why don’t they change the situation if the current one is not satisfactory? But if we were honest with ourselves, we would see that we are often not much better ourselves.

The truth is, that complaining seldom solves anything, but may instead imprison us. Positivity helps us to be more centred, so much so, that there is no bad energy to turn around and stab us, like a naked knife. Negativity will only increase the already heavy load, on our shoulders.

Misbah786 Interesting about aging and complaints. I think when one gets older they tend to complain about everything, be it on a good day or a bad day. Just what life offers to us. In life we have all sorts to complain about and that is how each day passes. You have a well-written and explained hub.

Salam,

Misbah, you have written an amazing article. Especially point no 8 is fabulous. I never want to complain and don't like it to be done with me.

Everyone have different intentions. So the wise way to cope with relations surrounding you is silence and tolerance.

Yes, old age and health problems can be a reason for complaints.

That's a fact and can't be avoided

I wish and pray May God bless us all with good health. Amen!

I think complaining is useless, and I am an optimist most of the time. Yes, everything comes to an end, but we sure need to enjoy it when we can.

I have a lot of family and friends that I love. My brother complains, but he has a host of health problems. Most of the others are just busy living their lives. This is a good article that makes you think.

Have a nice week, Misbah,
