Immortal Micro-organisms and Human Immortality

Life is full of several mysteries and the man has always tried to delve deeper to unravel them. New things, events, and researches always in

Death and immortality

The man has always wondered about death and the mysteries surrounding the life after death. He has always tried to find the answers that,

“What is Death?”

“Why a person Dies?”

“What happens after Death?”

“What is Rebirth?”

“Why a man could not become immortal?”

These queries have always raked the mind of the man since ages. Some of the ancient sages and the people with a mission have devoted their entire life to find the Elixir of life. Some of the Alchemists dedicated their entire lives to make a potion to become immortal.

In their pursuit of youthfulness, the people have tried different medicines and methods since ancient times. But the effects of aging become apparent after the passage of time.

The science is steadily advancing to reveal the mystery of immortality. Several groups of scientists are working in a phased manner to make the man immortal.

It has been found that a tablet could be developed to stop aging.

The people of the ancient Greek and Egypt had developed a special potion which could preserve the bodies of their dead ones for thousands of years. This achievement is not meager on the part of the ancient people.

Endeavors of the Modern Man

For the last hundred of years and during the recent decades too, the scientists have discovered the remedies for several deadly diseases which took a heavy death toll of man and beasts.

The medical science has given a new direction to the life in general and premature death due to diseases and epidemics in particular.

The man has tried in a sense tried to defeat death, but it has remained inevitable. The science has partially succeeded to delay death but has failed to avoid it completely. The scientists have often felt this helplessness and the philosophers term it a “Destiny”.

So death is the only eternal truth for the human beings and everyone is destined to die.

Some scientists are still busy in their endeavor to defeat the challenge of death. They are experimenting to discover the ways to become immortal. They believe that there are certain micro-organisms on earth which are immortal. These micro-organisms never die. Even some of these exist in volcanoes.

In their pursuit of immortality, the scientists have found that the cells of such micro-organisms survive due to their ability to adjust and protect themselves from damages caused by the ever-changing environment.

Recent Discovery of Immortal Organism

In 2009, the Russian scientist, Dr. Anatoli Brouchkov, the head of the Geocryology Department, Moscow State University, discovered the 3.5 million years old microscopic organisms in the Siberian permafrost.

The discovery was made at a site known as Mammoth Mountain. These microorganisms were found in the ice preserved brain of the carcass of a woolly mammoth.

He was surprised of the outcome of the amazing results of his experiments and sensed that this micro-organism could open new vistas of longevity and the resultant immortality.

These microorganisms named Bacillus F began their lives a million years before the first human being evolved on earth.

A little amount of Bacillus F could be found in the drinking water supplied in Siberia. This could elucidate the reason why the average lifespan of the people of the region is long.

What is a Permafrost?

Permafrost is a permanently frozen soil, sediment, rock or other deposit, characteristic of arctic and some subarctic regions. Its classification is solely based on temperature, not moisture or ground cover. It is the perennially frozen subsoil. Permafrost with no water, and thus no ice, is termed dry permafrost. The upper surface of the permafrost is called the permafrost table.

Bacillus F- The Immortal Microorganism

The ability of Bacillus F to regenerate the cells could hold the key to several miracle cures including death itself.

The scientists experimented on animals and found the fertility boosting power in Bacillus F. The aged female mice injected with Bacillus F produced babies after the end of their reproductive process and the plants healed themselves. Further experiments were conducted on human cells and similar inferences were drawn.

The Miracle

Thereafter Dr. Anatoli Brouchkov injected Bacillus F to himself, and found that “he has not had flu since then, and he has also been able to work harder and longer without even getting tired”. He further says that it has not been ascertained that how Bacillus F works on the human body, but its effects are apparent.

This discovery could help the scientists to prolong the lives of human beings, if once it is determined that how Bacillus F endures death and decay.

Why does it happen?

So far it has been found that Bacillus F gives out biologically active substances throughout its life. These substances were held responsible for activating the immune systems of the animals under experiment.

Epidemiologist Dr. Viktor Chernyavsky has termed the discovery of Bacillus F, " A scientific sensation", which could prove to be the "Elixir of life".

Ginsing Herb for Youthfulness

A herb named Ginseng called eleuthero grows in the forests of Russia and Siberia. It has been in use in Russia and Asia for centuries as a medicine.

The people of China use it to retain the youthfulness. A review titled “Puzzle Promise and Cure for aging” was published in a journal “Nature”. It says that in the coming decades, it would be possible to increase the lifespan of man.

Immortality of Jelly Fish

Tulitopsis Nutriculla, a jellyfish is found in the seas. Technically this fish never dies, unless killed or eaten by others. That is why it is called immortal jellyfish. It has the capability to return from old age to infant age.

The man could also become immortal if the scientists become successful to find the mystery behind the immortality of jellyfish.

Indian Ayurveda and Immortality

The concept of longevity and partial immortality has been achieved by a set of therapies in “Kayakalp” or “Physical Rejuvenation” as explained in Indian Ayurveda.

The treatment detoxifies the body, reverses metabolic activities and nourishes the body by helping in the formation of the new cells faster than the process of decay of old ones. The aging gets reversed when the new cells form faster than the decay of old cells.

This exclusive practice was undertaken only by kings and sages as they could devote time to patience and discipline.

How did it work?

Here the human body is embalmed in special earth and herbs for some time for few days to rejuvenate the youthful charm and glow of the skin. The anti-aging herbal tonic could also remove wrinkles from the old and withered skin of the person under treatment. It could reverse the physical degeneration caused by aging.

But the actual prescription and the contents of this concoction are not available and at present only partial success could be achieved.

The Process of Kayakalapa

The person is first isolated from visitors and even sunlight in a specially built closed hut.

Then body exfoliation is done by certain herbal pastes, leeches, sweating and vomiting followed by the intake of herbs and certain salts. After complete detoxification the minimal diet once a day or even fasting on liquids especially milk is followed.

Thereafter the tissues are nourished by massages, mineral baths, and oils. The fresh juices boost the immune system. The free radical damage is repaired with an antioxidant Soma, but nobody knows what it is? It is the most necessary herb missing from the treatment.

After morning spa therapies comes the meditation and Yoga for the spiritual and emotional well being. Then the person comes out transformed with new teeth, new hair, fair complexion, supple skin, improved vision, fresh virility, sharp memory, focused concentration. If practiced properly it could give immortality.

Scientific Reports

“Daily Telegraph” reported that during a research at Buck Institute California, Dr. Judith Kempis told that there is no doubt from the present results about the simple organism that the lifespan could be either increased or decreased.

It has already been found in several studies that a man could always remain young if the genetic process which reveals the effects of aging is stopped.

A report published in Cell journal says that the increasing effects of aging could be a part of a genetic plan and not a result of physical activities.

The Man can Live for 150 Years

With each passing day, the bending knees and increasing facial wrinkles draw us closer to death. The aging spares none and has no friends.

The greatest desire of the man is to remain young forever and ever, but he fails to hold his youthfulness. The process of aging could not be stopped.

But the scientists have made certain discoveries which could slow down the process of aging. With the help of new techniques, the human organs would be given a new life by 2020, and the man would be able to live for 150 years.

A New Technique of Cell Reprogramming to Regrow Organs

Harvard University Professor David Sinclair and The researchers of New South Wales have developed a new technique of the reprogramming of cells, which could delay the process of aging. This technique would not only help the people to regrow their organs afresh but also help the paralyzed people to become normal or walk again. The human trial of the technique would begin within 2 years.

The researchers found that the lifespan of rats could be increased by 10% by administering them the pills of Vitamin B derivatives.

It was also found that this pill reduced the problem of hair loss associated with the process of aging.

In this technique, the molecule nicotinamide dinucleotide works to give the desired results. This molecule is known for the ability to produce energy in the human body.

This chemical has already been used to fight the Parkinson disease and Jet Lag.

Professor David Sinclair himself is taking his own medicine to fight the process of aging. He claimed that after taking this medicine his own age has been found to have got reduced by 24 years. He further said that his father after taking this medicine for a year and a half ago has now started taking part in adventure sports like white water rafting.

The reports say that the cost of this tablet would be equal to that of a cup of Coffee.

A Medicine can Reduce the Effects of Aging

The scientists have claimed to have made an antibiotic medicine which can reduce the effects of aging. This research was conducted on rats by the University of Alabama. Here the scientists found that the new medicine not only reduced the facial wrinkles but also successfully decreased the appearance of grey hair.

The researchers of Alabama University at Birmingham developed a special medicine and tested it on rats. They changed the mitochondria present in the cells of the rats.

The main function of mitochondria is to build 90% of the energy cells necessary for the existence of life of an organism.

The researchers stated that with growing age the normal working of mitochondria, the powerhouse of cells, gets affected. The man becomes a victim of age-related diseases due to this abnormal working of mitochondria. This list of diseases includes heart-related problems and cancer.

The researchers mixed the antibiotic medicine Doxycycline in the food and gave it to the rats. This medication affected those enzymes which help in the formation of the replica of mitochondrial DNA. This process inhibited the supply of energy to the cells. After giving a regular dose of doxycycline for 4 weeks the wrinkles appeared on the skin of the rats and their hair started becoming grey. The age-related weakness and tiredness were also seen in the rats. The researchers have claimed to reverse these age-related effects after discontinuing the use of Doxycycline medicine for a month.

Keshav Singh, the chief Researcher and the Professor at the genetic department of Alabama University said that this research could open new vistas to find the treatment of age-related diseases in future.

Another Medicine Developed for Longevity

There is good news for the people who wish to live longer and all of them cherish the same desire.

A new medicine has been claimed to be developed by the researchers which could help the man in the next 60 years to live up to the age of 120 years.

This medicine will affect the DNA structure in a way to way help the internal organs of the body to remain functional for a longer duration. This will help the man live longer for several decades after the average life expectancy of 81 years. But the researchers have underlined the necessity of a healthy living style to get the full benefits.

The research has claimed that it is possible to stop the aging process of the internal organs of the man.

This DNA affecting medicine can maintain the functioning of organs and other body parts.

The chief researcher Professor Vladimir Khavinson, the chief researcher and the head of The Institute of Bio-Regulation, said that now with an increased lifespan, our next objective should be to provide healthy lifestyle to the aged people.

This longevity inducing medicines contain thymalin, which maintains the natural immune system and; cortexene that regulates the activities of the brain. These medicines act on the basis of the theory of peptide technology. They interact and make contact with the DNA and increase the production of a protein which increases the lifespan.

Several European countries are planning to start the trials on these medicines in the next three years. Out of these 6 such medicines are available in Russia.

The British Research

The British researchers have claimed that that with the passing of each hour, our age is increasing by 15 minutes. The children born today would live for 104 years. Sara Harper revealed that a research was conducted in the Oxford University found that by the end of the present 21st century the population of people above the age of 100 years in Britain alone would become 1.5 Million. They said that, with the passing of each decade, our life expectancy is increasing by two and a half years.

Thanks, Alexander James Guckenberger for the revisit. You are absolutely right that positive human endeavors should be made, but man developed nuclear power for destruction too. Dr. Anatoli Brouchkov took a great risk by injecting Bacillus F to himself. I wonder what will happen, if the man becomes immortal.

Alexander James Guckenberger from Maryland, United States of America on January 04, 2018:

Sanjay, 3.5 million years is a very long time. I hope that more people apply the potential of such discoveries. There are so many possibilities, but someone has to push human progress forwards with the information we are gathering. You're article is awesome! Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Alexander James Guckenberger for the visit and the comment. You are absolutely right. Extremophiles are the organisms that can survive in extreme physical or geochemical conditions detrimental all living organisms on earth. They live in conditions like intense heat; highly acidic, alkaline and saline environments; extreme pressure and extreme cold. They are often found on the rocks near the hydrothermal vents. On the other hand, mesophiles or neutrophiles are found in the moderate environment. But the lifespan of more than 3.5 million years of Bacillus F is a miracle.

Dianna Mendez on January 04, 2018:

Interesting and fascinating article on the discovery of the micro-organism. Being a person of faith, I believe man is immortal - a spiritual being that will live on eternally.

Alexander James Guckenberger from Maryland, United States of America on January 04, 2018:

Extremophiles also lend credence to the possibility of expanding life onto other worlds.
