These worksheets range in difficulty from easy to difficult. I am also including some coloring pages which younger students could color and older students could use as section page dividers in their biology notebooks.

What is Biology? - What is life?

Biology is the study of living things. To be classified as living, the "thing" must satisfy all of the following:

  • contain DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)
  • be able to reproduce
  • be able to get energy from the environment and convert it to something that sustains them
  • be able to detect changes in their environment and respond to them
