Anatomy Unit Study Materials

Pamela has been homeschooling her 3 children for 20 years and enjoys sharing information she and her family have learned!

Lesson Plans, Worksheets, Videos, Games, Books, & More!

We are learning about the fascinating human body that God created in our school! We use some traditional textbooks, but we also like to watch videos, make combination lapbook / notebooks, reading "living books", do hands-on activities, and play games! When I searched around the web looking for materials to use to enhance our studies, I sure found some cool things which make learning unforgettable! I wish I had these study aids when I was first studying biology and health! I'll add more as I find them - please share below any cool sites that you know kids will enjoy!

** Fantastic Human Body Graphics for educational purposes may be found from Phillip Martin!** We have used his fun graphics to create games, worksheets, and flashcards.

The Human Body

~ *The Human Body Index: Find a huge reference index of materials for learning about the human body from KidPort. They have very thorough sections for each of the following systems - Cardiovascular, Digestive, Muscular, Nervous, Skeletal - which I will include a link for in distinct areas of this page, but this is their main link.

~ *How the Body Works Main Page at Kids Health: Kids may click on the part of the body they want to study, "watch movies, take quizzes, read articles, solve word finds, and do activities" all about the parts of the body. The site contains parents, kids, and teens sections. The kid's section includes: Feelings, Staying Healthy, Illnesses & Injuries, How the Body Works, Growing Body & Mind, Kids Talk, Cooking & Recipes, People, Places & Things That Help, Staying Safe, Movies & Games, Health Problems, and a Kids' Dictionary of Medical Words. The teen section includes: Your Body, Your Mind, Sexual Health, Food & Fitness, Recipes, Drugs & Alcohol, Expert Answers, Diseases & Conditions, Infections, School & Jobs, and Staying Safe.
