The Goddesses help us live more authentically.
Need a little warrior energy to get through a difficult day at work? Call on Athena. Want to bring abundance into your life? Lakshmi can help.
Goddesses from different cultures are more than just myths. Goddess energy, or our higher selves, can provide new perspective and wisdom our egos otherwise would prevent us from hearing. Here's how those Goddesses can enhance your life and bring a little magic in the process.
1. They Provide a Different Perspective Than Ego
We all too often listen to our egos, which tell us we're not good enough or something will work out just because we want it to. But how often are those egos correct in their opinion?
Communing with Goddesses is communing with your higher self. That self is free of ego and sees things for what they are. Setting aside ego, we can learn how to align with our soul's purpose and make decisions from the heart.
Setting aside ego, we can learn how to align with our soul's purpose and make decisions from the heart.
2. We Can Tap into the Energy We Need
I mentioned Athena for warrior Goddess energy and Lakshmi for abundance. There are hundreds of other Goddesses, and they each offer a unique type of energy. Sometimes we don't feel like we can speak our truth, but if we embody a Goddess like Durga or The Morrigan, we may find it easier to express ourselves. We can find our sensual sides by working with Lilith. The list goes on.
Consider it putting on a mask. I like to play "What Would Goddess Do" and go through my day as if I were that Goddess. If I'm working to attract love, I might act as Aphrodite and wear clothes I'm confident in, play some romantic music, and watch a romcom.
If I'm channeling Kali because I need to be fierce in some aspect of my life, I might put on some punk music and let out some steam singing at the top of my lungs.
3. You Can Manifest What You Want
Working with Goddesses, you can ask for whatever it is you desire. You could ask:
- Lakshmi for money to take a vacation
- Aphrodite to send you someone to date
- Inanna to let go of past traumas
- Athena to be assertive at work
The Goddesses love giving boons, and all you have to do is ask! Well...that's not all you have to do. You still need to put in the work to make it happen. If you want a new romantic partner, he or she won't just fall out of the sky. Socialize in places where there are likely to be single people or get on a dating app.
Like they say: you can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket!
4. You'll Open Up to Magic
Simply by connecting with the Goddesses more often, you'll find serendipitous things happening. Maybe you're learning about Lakshmi and you notice a statue of Her in a friend's house. That's a little hello from Lakshmi to say She's noticed you giving her attention.
You may find little things manifest more easily. For me, it's finding parking in crowded areas every time. You may have pleasant little surprises pop up, like an unexpected check in the mail. These are such fun, magical little messages from the Goddesses!
How to Work with the Goddesses
Now that you know all of the benefits of working with Goddesses, you want to know how the heck you can get started. Am I right?
For me, the easiest way to start is to place a picture, oracle card, or statue of the Goddess I'm focusing on somewhere I'll see in my house. I like to light a candle and maybe put out some fresh flowers.
Another way is to do a visual meditation. I relax and envision meeting the Goddess somewhere like a field or on the beach. Once you let go of trying to control what happens, your subconscious mind will take over and you can have a fantastic conversation with your Goddess. Ask Her questions. You'll be surprised at the wisdom that comes forth. Ask for whatever you're trying to manifest. And don't forget to thank Her!
Working with Goddess energy has enhanced my life in so many ways and helped me connect with the Divine Feminine, and it can do the same for you!
