The Flat-Earthers Are Back, and They Want to Take Over

I do not have a college degree, but I have been a student of history, and politics for many years.

What is a Flat-Earther, and why do I say they are back?

According to Wikipedia; Marco Emilio Polo was a Venetian merchant, explore and writer who traveled thru Asia along the Silk Road between 1271 and 1295. It was Marco Polo who first postulated the theory, based upon observation made during his travels, that the Earth was a ball, or round, not flat, as was the accepted, and scientific belief of the day..

Around 1436, German goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg is credited with introducing his version of the printing to Europe. I say he introduced his version of it because; according to Wikipedia, the use of woodblock presses in China dates back to the 9th century, and Korean bookmakers had already been using a metal type press for almost a century. The reason I mention the Gutenberg press is because the first book he printed was the Gutenberg Bible. He wanted a copy of the Bible put in every Church throughout Europe so that every person in Europe could be taught to read from It and learn for themselves what It said.

A short 15 years later, Maritime explorer, Christopher Columbus, was born. he developed a theory, based upon his studies of both the writings of Marco Polo and the Bible, that the Earth was indeed round and a person could sail west and reach the Far-East. The self proclaimed, educated elites of the day rejected his theory, saying that everyone knows the Earth is flat. Christopher was finally able to convince, with scientific theory introduced by Marco Polo and passages from the Bible, Ferdinand II and Isabella I, the Catholic Monarchs of Aragon, Castile, and Leon in Spain to finance his voyage west to find a water route to the far east. The people who said that Columbus, as well as Ferdinand II and Isabella, were crazy. Every intelligent person in the world knows the Earth is flat and once you went to far to the West you would sail right off the edge. These people were later, in a very condescendingly manner, referred to as Flat-Earthers.

What do the 'Flat-Earther's' believe today? Lets take a look.

  1. Evidence has proven that former President Donald J Trump has done nothing wrong. No collusion with Russia in the lead-up to the 2016. There are still those who believe this actually happened.
  2. Trump leading an alleged insurrection Jan 6, 2021. Proven, no insurrection, just a pro-Trump rally that got out of hand, evidence has shown that the F.B.I. where the ones who instigated the riot.
  3. After a year and a half of a 'Congressional-Inquisition', ran by the Democratic Party and their willing accomplices in the Never-Trump wing of the Republican Party, the testimony of most of the witnesses has been proven to be false.
  4. When it comes to the issue of transgenderism, they reject the proven science of Biology that says there are only two sexes, male and female, and that that is decided at birth by genetics. The flat-earthers say that individual's have the right to define, and decide for themselves what their sex is, or even if they have a dominant sex.

Although there are plenty more examples of this flat earth mentality, I think I have made my point.

You have your Religion, I have mine.

Please stop trying to force your religion upon everyone else in this Country. The 1st Amendment guarantees all of us the right to 'free exercise of our religion'. It also prohibits the establishment of any official 'State Religion'. Just because your religion does not even consider the existence of 'a god', do not tell me I cannot talk freely about mine, and what I believe to be unacceptable according to His Word, in a public forum. Just because you find Christianity offensive, that does not give you the right to restrict, or violate, my rights. I use the phrase flat-earther, because many of the people who follow this religion ignore any facts or evidence that contradicts what they believe to be the truth. Thank you Mr. Nietzsche!
