The basic division among life forms is between the simpler Bacteria and the more complex Eucaryotes. (Patterson & Sogin 1992):
I. A. Science has Progressed and Added Whole Kingdoms.
When I was in school there was only the Plant and Animal Kingdoms. Science has progressed and added whole New Kingdoms.
Although many people are aware that there are millions of different kinds (species) of living organisms on Earth today (although our own species is doing its best to drive many of them into extinction), surprisingly few people are aware that these organisms are now divided up among no fewer than Seven Kingdoms.
We will be concerned with the Yeast Fungus.
Kingdom: EUMYCOTA (some prefer FUNGI)
Species: Agaricus brunnescens -- the edible (supermarket) mushroom.
I. B. Yeast Fungus may be able to Feed the Increasing World Population.
As the human population grows, it is ever more important to temper our levels of consumption of the Earth’s dwindling resources. Humans currently consume at least 40 percent of potential terrestrial productivity, and some 30 percent of the land on Earth is used to pasture and feed livestock. Food reserves are the lowest they’ve been in 40 years, yet—thanks to an expanding population that the United Nations (UN) expects to grow to more than 9 billion by 2050—the demand for food will increase dramatically over the coming decades. Climate change, reduced productivity of agricultural lands, overfishing, dwindling freshwater resources, pollution from fertilizers and pesticides, and a host of other factors mean that this population increase will place a disproportionate burden on Earth’s ecosphere. Something has to change.
Nutritional supplements such as Whey have been used to provide more protein for food. The problem with Whey is that is a milk product and thus is dependent upon cattle. Cattle have been shown to be a very expensive food source.
Yeast is a Fungus and its growth and production is not tied to the expensive cows. Yeast supplements are the future to feed a world with an increasing population. Yeast can be grown in vats 24/7/365. No hormones needed, no GMOs, no pesticide, no planting or harvesting. Yeast is a pure nutritional supplement to be combined with leafy greens and root vegetables.
Sourdough bread is based on growing yeast in a bowl. Sourdough bread is an ancient form of making bread and is a mixture of flour, water amd a little sugar. Yeast is added and that is what makes it grow. This fermentation processes will go on for years if properly kept.
I. C. Algae farms are an alternative.
Algae is a healthy crop which can help lower cholesterol, save resources and reinvent how we feed people. Algae is a plant based source of omega-3 fatty acids, which in recent years have become all the rage for lowering cholesterol, promoting healthier skin and promising other health benefits.
Common practice has been to consume them via a salmon or supplements derived from fish or krill. Since fish and krill actually get their omega-3 from algae, we can cut out the "middle fish" and eat the algae itself.
With people eschewing certain foods and a world population expected to approach 10 billion by 2050, a new generation of scientists says the mainstreaming of algae is inevitable.
Most people's experiences with algae are a contamination event of some sort. This is a pool of water, the dog bowl or the Great Lakes or a swimming hole. Those are all negative. We are talking about Farming Algae in a non-contaminated environment.
We are talking about a genus of algae called nannochloropsis, targeting each of omega-3's two essential long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. DHA is said to benefit brain structure and function and is found in infant formula, baby food and prenatal vitamins. The other is EPA, touted as a powerful anti-inflammatory that is good for cardiac health, joint health, and mood disorders.
All about algae
Provides 50 percent of the world's oxygen.
Per-acre yield of essential amino acid production is seven times higher than soy, 300 times higher than peas.
One in 10 millennials describe themselves as vegan, favoring plant-based over animal proteins.
The international supplement market is valued at about $200 million, with omega-3 supplements worth about $33 billion.
In 2015, 1 acre of algae pond could produce between 10,000 and 15,000 kilos of algae biomass in a year.

Birth Control Methods
II. A. Population Control is Needed Worldwide.
Along with better food production, people must learn population control. The resources of the world should not be taxed to its limit, but we should reduce population to more manageable numbers. Education in Birth Control is recommended.
Birth control is how you prevent pregnancy before it begins. There are lots of different methods that work really well and are easy to use. I recomend the Vasectomy after a sperm donation. Why would a man get a vasctomy?
1. An altruistic man would get a vasectomy to save the environment. The more people, the more pollution (everything else held constant).
2. A selfish man would get a vasectomy to avoid child support.
Of course, there are those men who do want children and will support them. Good for them.
Vasectomy is 99% effective. It won’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom to help stop STDs. It is time Men started to take more responsibility in birth control. The man may make a sperm donation to a sperm bank prior to a vasectomy.
Birth Control Implant
The implant is 99% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your implant to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Birth Control Patch
The Patch is 91% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your patch to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Birth Control Pill
The Pill is 91% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your pill to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Birth Control Shot
The shot is 94% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with the shot to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Birth Control Sponge
The sponge is between 76-88% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your sponge to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Birth Control Vaginal Ring
The ring is 91% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your ring to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Breastfeeding as Birth Control
Breastfeeding as birth control is 98% effective. It doesn’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom for help stopping STDs.
Cervical caps are between 71-86% effective. They don’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your cervical cap to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Condoms are 82% effective. They help protect you from STDs. Use another birth control method with your condom for even more pregnancy preventing power.
The diaphragm is 88% effective. It won’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with your diaphragm to help stop pregnancy and STDs.
Female condoms are 79% effective. They help protect you from STDs. Use another birth control method with your female condom for even more pregnancy preventing power.
Fertility Awareness Methods (FAMs)
FAMs are 76% effective. They don’t protect you from STDs. Use a condom with FAMs to help protect you from pregnancy and STDs.
There is One Progressive Belief System.
Mankind must not only learn to feed the world more efficiently, but educate for Birth Control and Cease Fighting.
II. B. A New Progressive Belief System Is Needed.
Science has now demonstrated that there is only One Race of Human. Therefore we should learn to help members of our own species rather that fight one another.
On Fighting and Self Defense
From the Baha'i scriptures:
The world is but one country and mankind its citizens... Let not a man glory in that he loves his country; let him rather glory in this that he loves his kind. "The Tabernacle of Unity, " Bahaullah
“O people of the earth!
“The first Glad-Tidings which the Mother Book hath, in this Most Great Revelation, imparted to all the peoples of the world is that the law of holy war hath been blotted out from the Book. Glorified be the All-Merciful, the Lord of grace abounding, through Whom the door of heavenly bounty hath been flung open in the face of all that are in Heaven and on earth.
“The second Glad-Tidings . . .”
--Tablets of Baha’u’llah, pp. 21-22
O ye lovers of God! In this, the cycle of Almighty God, violence and force, constraint and oppression, are one and all condemned. (Abdu’l-Bahá, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Bahá, p. 149)
I charge you all that each one of you concentrate all the thoughts of your heart on love and unity. When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love. (Abdu’l-Bahá, Paris Talks, p. 29)

This is an intelligent post, and I benefited from reading it. I greatly admire your words, and especially those of the conclusion that inspire peace! Thank you, Jay, my dear friend.
Jay C OBrien (author) from Houston, TX USA on July 05, 2017:
MizB, you bring up a good point about food allergies. I suppose one could use a different form of protein. The article is speaking of moving from an animal based protein to another form of protein.
This is all part of Progressive Thought. Attitudes and perceptions change over time. Now is the time to adopt a new and better thought process before Famine occurs.
Doris James MizBejabbers from Beautiful South on July 04, 2017:
Whaaa? OK, Jay, I don't think anyone can disagree with you unless maybe it's the Roman Catholic Church. You mention two "foods" to supplement the world's diet, fungi and whey, but they are two known allergens. People like me and my children cannot tolerate either of them. What about algae? That seems to be a promising food source, too. I have no idea how hypoallergenic it may be.
Also, something to look at. We are very concerned with GMOs, and rightly so at this point. However, our bodies are changing, so could part of the change be adapting to GMO tolerance? Just food for thought. Good points you've brought out.
