Do Your Own Personality Test

I have been reading and following the works of Isabel Briggs Myers, the American creator of personality type assessor tests, and doing the tests myself. It is more for my own self-improvements and to monitor my strengths and weaknesses on regular basis. I also encourage my children to do likewise.

Free Personality Test

In this article, I am sharing the self-assessment tests on 'disclosure and concealment', and on 'locus of control' by another favorite writer of mine, Jerry M. Burger.

  • 'Disclosure & Concealment' is to assess your tendency to disclose experiences to others. So, you will know when and why it is important to share personal detail and when to keep quiet!
  • 'Locus of Control' is to assess your beliefs on whether you can control events that affect you. This gives you the basis to identify where and how you can improve, and take action.

Credit and Reference

These tests are part of Jerry M. Burger's book called "Personality". He was a professor of Psychology at Santa Clara University and had published several research articles and books related to psychology.

This book 'Pesonality' was published by Wadsworth, Cengage Learning, and is currently in its 10th edition.

@tirelesstraveler: Thanks for dropping by. I agree age and experience play a big part in shaping our personality ..that's why the sampling for the score, is age related

Judy Specht from California on December 03, 2011:

Fun article. My personality has changed with age. Some of the things that would have been a bit more tentative have been rounded with experience
