Never Stop

I need to get back on track. Writing is in my heart, I want to get the stories in my brain to come out.

My Inspiration

My Inspiration

It has been a long time since I have been on HubPages. Quite some time ago I needed to go back to work because Social Security was not getting all of the bills paid.

I have been working as a janitor for the apartment complex where I work. It gives us the extra money that I need, but I am missing out on so many things. Ok, so I only work for 3 to 4 1/2 hours a day, however janitor work is not easy. I hope people realize that, it is demanding work on the body, especially as my body is approaching 73 at a fast pace.

I looked at the photo of my dog and my son and daughter-in-laws cat and see there is so much in life that I need to spend more time enjoying. I look outside and I see a cardinal in my bird feeder, then my next look out I see a squirrel getting more than its share of the food at the bird feeder. Life has so many joys.

The other day I decided to look for an at home writing job for seniors. One where I can earn the amount of money where I can be at home on my computer doing what I love, writing. I am still in search of that job. I see those adds saying, 'earn $20 to $35 an hour at home writing in your free time.'

How many of those jobs are scams and how many are legit? I have researched a couple and they leave me in a maybe or maybe not state of mind. I will continue to search. I know there is a job that I want where I can stay at home and write. I can take a break and pet my dog or look out the window and see birds at my feeder.

Besides I want to stay in with the air conditioning. Most of my work is outside work and this summer has been rough. I do much walking, cleaning, climbing 3 flights of stairs many times a day. The other day when I got off work I looked at my phone when I got finished. It was 93 degrees and felt like 107. No wonder I was covered in sweat. I drank several bottles of water or I never would have made it. Remember, I am not a young man.

It's great to read another article from you. Best wishes, Larry. I hope you find a suitable job.

Well, I can only wish that at your age I will be able to do what You are doing. Good for You!! Sounds like You are staying in shape so, even when You find that job writing at home do still climb "3 flights of stairs many times a day", perhaps just as a physical exercise because as we get older we have to do more exercise to maintain our strength and flexibility. Not to say that You have to work like a donkey but balance is good.

Cute furry friends You have - best of luck to all of You! Cheers!

What a beautiful photo of your dog and the sweet kitty being friends. Especially with the employment situation the way it is, now is a wonderful time to look around and see what might be available. You should at least get indoors. Perhaps you might even try pet sitting (where you pick the assignments). Either offer yourself up for a fee to neighbors or get on a service like Just an idea. I really hope you find a better situation so you can enjoy this one life we have. Much love to you.

It's great to see you wanting to get back to the world of writing.

Maybe you can check with a local newspaper.

Sometimes they want or need someone to write a column or a certain section in there papers.

Think of what you can contribute...maybe a weekly column & pitch the idea.

You never know?

I love the picture of the kitty cat & doggie

Larry, good to see you. I hope God will favor you with the kind of job for which you're asking, or with a miraculous provision which satisfies your needs. It's still great that you have as much strength and ability as you do have. Have a good week.
