Over Population and Myths About the World Purging Its Self

It's Easy To Believe The World Purges Its Self Of Over Population

With the Covid Virus, earth shattering earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunami's, tornado's, terrorist attacks and other times of large population deaths, is it fair to say the world purges it's self of over population.

It's a myth but not hard to believe when so many people have lost their lives.

The fact remains that over the last 25 years the earth has had population booms but behind it many devastating acts to rid the earth of an every growing population.

As baby boomers retire, there are not enough young people to fill up the work force and so many older people will not be taken care of.

Over a half a million people have died over the last year and a half from Covid and because we have not gotten a handle on it, so many more will die.

Human population control is the practice of artificially altering the rate of growth of a human population. Historically, human population control has been implemented by limiting the population's birth rate, usually by government mandate, and has been undertaken as a response to factors including high or increasing levels of poverty, environmental concerns, religious reasons, and overpopulation. While population control can involve measures that improve people's lives by giving them greater control of their reproduction, some programs have exposed them to exploitation.

Myth Or Truth

The myth that the world purges it's self is just that a myth. Tragedies happen every day somewhere. We just feel that this is happening because of so many deaths from Covid. A new study projects that the world population, which now stands at 7.8 billion, will peak in 2064 at 9.7 billion then fall by 2100 to 8.8 billion. If the UN's Sustainable Development Goals are met, the population could be even smaller at 6.3 billion. So what does this mean?

As time goes on fewer young adults will produce children causing the population to decrease. A belief in human overpopulation is often rooted in racism. People see the over population happens in impoverished countries such as Africa, India and South East Asia instead of right here in the United States. It also suggest that the most impoverished people are races of color.

Younger people are choosing to not have children or wait till later in life after a career has been established and they can afford to have a child. Some people are choosing to only have one child because the cost of children is expensive.

How To Help Our World

What Does The Future Hold For Our Country

If I had to pick four things that were important to eradicate from our society, to make our world a better place, I would have to say illness, poverty, drug addiction and violence. Those are the four things that I feel would make our world a better place.

We have taken for granted how much we have here in the US compared to other countries. When bad things happen here we blame it on the sinful people who live in those places.

I truly believe as one child is born another person succumbs to death. Is the world purging its self? In all reality it certainly seems that this is exactly what is happening. Is it a coincidence? Truth?

The naturalist David Attenborough once said the creature he finds "most extraordinary" is a nine-month-old human baby. But now he believes the planet can’t sustain many more.

In an interview for BBC Newsnight, the 92-year-old British broadcaster said: “In the long run, population growth has to come to an end. There are some reasons for thinking that will happen almost inevitably.

“But it is very alarming at the rate we’re going, and although people will say, ‘In the long run, we are going to stabilize’, they’re going to stabilize - as far as I can see - at a rather higher level than the Earth can really accommodate.”

Roughly 83 million people are added to the world's population each year, according to the UN, with modern advances in medicine and nutrition to thank for their survival into adulthood and old age.
