Media plays a very effective role to change our lives, it has been leaving strong positive and negative impressions on our minds to develop various opinions, approaches about a subject or a person.

Today's media capture a wide field in our lives, due to which health effects of Kids, Youth, and Old Adults to excessive Use Of Social Media in several ways, vast long-term, and short-term effects have been appearing on the physical as well as on mental health. excessive use of social media has proliferated various diseases like anxiety, depression.

Media is a tool to give information and news to our society there is various type of media working at various platforms including print media(newspaper, magazines, books, banners, billboards, brochures, Flyers), broadcasting media( Television, radio, movies), internet media (Social network and websites, online forum, podcast) all media have their own importance and reliability, While internet media differ from traditional media, it is leaving various positive as well as negative impacts on health.

Excessive use of social media is responsible for sleep disturbance and has generating negative impacts on the mental health of adults and adolescents, especially women and girls, according to the American Psychiatric Association (APA) they had 38,800 members in America while some are international. This association publishes different journals and pamphlets related to a guide for diagnosing disorders.

The term addiction has been used for extra usage , addiction always leaves adverse effects on our lives. Addiction to social media develops various problems, including Social anxiety, depression,loneliness,suicidal thoughts.Social media is leaving both types of positive and negative impressions on our lives, It is a very beneficial source to share knowledge and also a forum of discussion to different subject experts, consultants, and health expert to resolve people's problems easily, social media plays a vital role shortened the distances among people and the world has become a global village, besides all these advantages ,some negative affects are also appearing excessive use of social media on mental Health of Kids, Youth, and Old Adults. Different researches show that various types of social network addiction have been seen in all age groups including Facebook addictions, Twitter addiction, Snap chat addiction, Linked In addiction, Instagram addiction, and You-tube addiction. When we receive notification from social media networks like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc our brain releases a little amount of dopamine because of this chemical we have feel good or excited, on every notification our brain releases this chemical, when an alarming situation arise when our brain releases to little or too much dopamine. Parkinson’s disease occurs when the brain release too few dopamine molecules, While an excess release of dopamine leads to the Mania, hallucinations, schizophrenia diseases.

We can also increase our dopamine level by taking enough sleep, exercising, listening to music that admires us, meditating, spending time in the Sun, take foods which contains Tyrosine like fish, banana, dairy products, eggs, beans, chicken, almond, avocados, dark chocolate, etc. can help to boost our dopamine level.

Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s disease is a brain relating disease in which the patient has suffered from shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination. If Parkinson's disease remains untreated it disturbs all functions of the brain and early death is also possible. Food that rich in magnesium reduces the number of muscle cramps and spasms and also helps to reduce anxiety, tremors, and insomnia. 32 milligrams of magnesium is present in banana, one or two banana eating a day very beneficial for a healthy life.


Mania is a disease and also called bipolar disorder, Symptoms of this disease are an abnormality, jumpy or wired, Increased activity, energy or agitation, Exaggerated sense of well-being and self-confidence (euphoria), Decreased need for sleep, Unusual talkativeness, Racing thoughts.


Schizophrenia is a name of serious brain disease in which a person interpret reality abnormally it is a combination of delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior that deteriorated daily functioning.

Social anxiety is a disorder in which a person feels fear strong physical symptoms, also observed like rapid heart rate, nausea, and sweating, and may experience full-blown attacks when confronting a feared situation.

Depression is a very common and serious disease in which patients never perform their work properly that they could before the illness. symptoms of the disease vary from patient to patient including disturbance in eating, disturbance in sleeping, feel sadness, and suicidal thoughts. Social media is the latest technology that helps to spread globally the latest ideas, thoughts, information easily. It develops both positive and negative impacts on kids' minds, it is beneficial to engage kids in learning different activities and skills. It is also a source of entertainment ,but some bad contents create false impressions on kids' minds so it has very important that what type of content your child had seen on social media. Some bad types of kids show which are doing some silly activities in YouTube channel programs kids follow these in real life and come to trouble, besides all these our children are going far away to the habit of reading books in their spare time they have been given priority to spending their time at front of the laptop, smartphones, and tablets which leaves adverse effects on their eyes and brain, they avoid to do physical activities which are not beneficial for their health.

Social Media Impacts On Youth

Different research studies show that Youth is most affected by social media, they spend a lot of their time in front of variable social media platforms. Sometimes social media impact is very positive in terms of research and learning of different skills but on the other side excessive use of social media connects them with different people, but in real-world they are alone in their homes because they have not been spending time between their family members, which creates distances in their family. Some different researches show that different types of mental illnesses found in our youth, including social anxiety, depression, obesity, and suicidal efforts. This is a need of time that parents explain the effects of excessive use of social media can leave adverse effects on their lives, such as the increase of irritability, failing grades, decrease interest in activities, and appearing disconnect.
