Caroline Lee of Duval County, Florida
DATE OF ARREST: October 31, 2021
PLACE OF OFFENSE: Duval County High School, Florida
SUMMARY: This 60-year old high school English teacher began screaming and swearing at a female student, then struck her in the face and leg. This was two days after she was awarded the "Teacher of the Year" award from the Duval County School District (!) and one day after the student posted a nasty email about Ms. Lee.
REPORTING WEBSITE: New York Post
"A Florida educator was busted for child abuse two days after being named Teacher of the Year — for allegedly hitting a student who criticized her getting the award, according to police.
High school English teacher Caroline Melanie Lee, 60, was proudly hailed for her achievement by the Duval County Public Schools last Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
She was arrested Friday, accused of hitting a female pupil in the face and leaving her with a bloody nose, the arrest report said.
Lee allegedly demanded the pupil come to her office after she read a comment thread on the Instagram post that challenged her new award, accusing her of using the N-word in classes.
The pupil — who was not identified because she is a juvenile — was too terrified to go to Lee’s office, she told investigators.
But the teacher stormed into her classroom and demanded she leave with her, the police report said, with surveillance showing the teacher “walking ahead … at an aggressive pace,” the affidavit said.
Once alone in Lee’s classroom, the teacher shut the door — and then 'reached across the table and struck her on her face with the heel of her palm,' the girl told investigators.
Lee then began repeatedly calling her a ‘f--king bitch’ as she landed several more strikes on the top of her head” and also “kicked her on her lower leg,” she told officers."

SUMMARY: Robert Pea, a 60-year old high school social studies teacher and bowling and golf coach, was arrested for solicitation of human trafficking by compelling prostitution. He used the emails to solicit sex acts from a 16-year old girl, but it's unknown if she was a student at Northland High School in Columbus.

Arrest documents show that Pea is accused of offering the teen girl $80 for sex. Compelling prostitution is a third-degree felony in Ohio.
Pea, who taught social studies and bowling, was arrested at the high school where he was employed. He was also the boys golf coach at the school.

She has now been terminated by the school district and is charged with several sex crimes against the minor male student.
WEBSITE: The Apalachicola Times
"A 50-year-old Apalachicola woman, active in the community as a behavior and sexual violence counselor, has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a minor.
Kelley Mosley, 50, was arrested for lewd and lascivious battery upon a minor between the ages of 12 and 18, a second degree felony.
After an extensive investigation by Lt. Baron Cortopassi, stemming from multiple complaints since April, Sheriff A.J. Smith said in a press release it was uncovered that Mosley began a sexual relationship with the juvenile victim while she was a behavior counselor for Franklin County Schools.
Mosley was fired from the school but the relationship continued. School officials said the firing was due to disciplinary matters, but was not based on discovery of any sexual relationship with a student.
Initially, neither the suspect or juvenile victim confessed to a relationship, nor was there enough evidence to effect an arrest, Smith said.
According to Mosley’s Facebook page, she worked between 2017 and 2019 as site coordinator for Project Impact; between 2019 and 2020 as 'a behavior interventionist with a grant funded program that provided education for students who didn’t do well in a traditional classroom setting;' and since then as a sexual violence case manager and counselor at Refuge House. Her LinkedIn account indicates she had worked as victim advocate at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office."
