Why I revived my Hubpages account?

Everyday, since I actively writing here in Hubpages since November 1, 2019, I am writing almost 2-4 articles a day to make sure that I will earn that much here specific, I do not have a job right now. I am only actively writing different contents here as an additional income. Although, after my resignation as a Customer Service Representative last October 25, 2019, I do received my salary on that day with 4 days only reported for work from October 1-15, 2019. And, I also reported for work October 16-17, 2019, so, my salary last November 10, 2019 was only a few penny. And I am not expecting anymore pennies on November 25, 2019. I do not know where and how to get more earnings for our daily expenditures. The online buy and sell activity of my wife is a big help for our daily needs. I already tried applying for a job, which is a librarian job. And while I am waiting for that, I am doing the online content writing.

We do have personal savings but we do not know, when will it last. I do have extra income such as helping other researchers to make their researches make easier by providing them some related literature and studies whatever their topics.

So, in view of this, I revived my account here in Hubpages last November 1, 2019. Actually, not November, I think it is few days before November in order to have my online learning more passive.

Why I my Hubpages article is too low score?

As of this writing, my highest score in an article is only 60. I am a little bit confused why I only reach this kind of score, as I am trying to check other Hubbers here, they reached 90+, I am already for about a three weeks but still my score is too low. No idea, why I only reach that kind of score. As I write almost 2-4 articles per day in order to get more scores, views and comments from different Hubbers online. However, almost few of them only checked my articles.

Maybe the reason is my type of article, topics or what?

However, as of this writing, I only have seven featured articles out of my 22 published articles. In view of this, I am still in my hardwork the write even more. I am thinking lots of topics that I know I can share it my best practices in order to attract different Hubbers worldwide.

I am trying sometimes to interact with other members by simply reading their articles or poems and do some comments in order for me to attract them. Although, I am not asking them to do a comment for my article, however, by just commenting their articles to say, "Hey, I am alive! Are you alive too!"

Cool!

Why I only earning a little amount here?

I am writing this article not to ask for more views, but to know more how Hubpages works. How other Hubbers here earns a lot as I see in the homepage of this site. I am looking forward, that someone earns about $300-$3,000 a month compare to me right now that I only have $0.04 since my earnings only started last November 14, 2019.

Although, I only earns a little here, but the positive outlook of other Hubbers here gives me more strength to write more fruitful topics. I do not know, what article that I am going to write, however, most of my topics are about Librarianship, Customer Service, Writing, Inspirations, Religion, Education and a lot more.

And hoping so, before the end of this moment, I will reach the amount of not a dismayed amount of less than a dollar. And hoping so that, someday, I will be a fruitful Hubber here.

How the Hubbers here interested to read?

Since, I already mentioned the topics that I've usually write, however, I do not know, if those topics will be the interests of the Hubbers here to comment. I do not know, if they are fun of reading those kinds. And I am writing this article to get some suggestions from the Hubpages members here what are their suggested materials to write about. Their interests so that, I know by myself if I have a capability to write that. If I do not have, at least, I knew that I have to do some research regarding the interests of the members here. Thanks and looking forward for your suggestions.

Thanks for commenting Aurelio. I do appreciate your visit here.

Aurelio Locsin from Orange County, CA on December 17, 2019:

I don't know that income has anything to do with the Hubscore. One of my hubs has a score of 58, and yet it is one of my most visited, which translates to actual earnings.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 28, 2019:

My happiness is full of joy. As I checked my earnings few seconds ago, I found out that I've earned $0.99 for yesterday alone. Not that big compare to anyone else, however, the good news in my part, I am earning. Thanks for the support.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 26, 2019:

Thanks Yves.

Yves on November 26, 2019:

Dearest Luis.....Your topics are interesting and you are wise to reach out to your fellow "hubbers" by commenting on their articles. But nobody here has told you the complete truth....which is that your English is not up to par. One person even said she once had a high score, yet she never really has. (Sorry to say.)

So, your job is to improve your English and study grammar. Then the rest will fall into place if it is meant to be. But that will take many years of hard work.

In the meantime, if you need more money, find employment outside of writing. Any basic job is good and certainly nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, even Walmart pays better than Hubpages, when all is said and done.

However, if you enjoy writing, then you should keep writing. But, as I said, you will need to improve your grammar before you can succeed in this field. That being said, successful writers are few and far between. I could not live off of what I make here.....even if I had 400 articles.

My point is: For now, consider writing as a fun hobby, but also take your study of grammar seriously, in-between "regular" employment.

In closing, please know I only intend to help. If you choose not to print this comment, I understand. I do wish you all happiness and success!

I am happy right now. As I am checking my earnings few minutes ago, I have earned a little. Not that big, however, it is already an achievement in my part. As before, I only earned per day usually less than $0.01, but now, it is already $0.01. Not that big, however, it is going stronger. Thanks to all of you.

Thanks Nithya. I am agreeing to Flourish. I appreciate your suggestions.

Do not worry about the score keep writing and I agree with FlourishAnyway.

Thanks Flourish. I appreciate you for dropping by here in my comment.

FlourishAnyway from USA on November 24, 2019:

Keep working on making your writing as clear as possible.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks Patricia too. I am checking the views, I am checking, how it grows.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks William. I appreciate it. Stay safe and I always will follow your suggestions.

Patricia Scott from North Central Florida on November 23, 2019:

I agree with William. Check out other factors such as views per article. In addition placing carefully selected photos especially of your own collection helps. And choose some quotes that would enhance your article. A well chosen video can't hurt either. Best wishes to you as you continue your writing efforts. Sending Angels your way this afternoon. ps

William Kovacic from Pleasant Gap, PA on November 23, 2019:

I don't think the score matters much. I never check mine nor do I care to. As far as I'm concerned it's basically just a number. I know of good writers who are very low and others are high even though they don't have writing skills. I'd look more at the number of views you get.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks Nikki for commenting. I truly appreciate it. Stay safe always.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks Devika for that wonderful suggestions. I will do my best to follow those instructions from yours.

Devika Primić from Dubrovnik, Croatia on November 23, 2019:

Luis G Asuncion it has been a long time since my score improved. I did at one time have a high score and all my hubs were featured. I have many hubs and my score is low. I have re.edited my hubs several times and each time my hubs are not good enough. Earnings take a a long time but I managed to earn well here in my 7 years here. I advise you to write the required amount of words, insert good photos preferably yours, add a Poll, a video and whatever is required for your hub to have a professional appearance.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks Lynne. As of now, I am 42 in my profile score.

Lynne Samuel from Malaysia on November 23, 2019:

I'm afraid I don't know since I'm new, barely a month. I hardly think to check my score since I'm still finding my way here. Mostly I'm concerned with getting my articles published.

Howevet, I hope a veteran here can give you some pointers, Luis. I wish you the best here.

Nikki Khan from London on November 23, 2019:

There is no limit though, as much longer be.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 23, 2019:

Thanks Nikki, I would love to do that. However, is it the maximum is 1250 words?

Nikki Khan from London on November 23, 2019:

Write a longer hub, include some pictures, and quotes too. I entirely agree with Manatita Ji. This would increase the score, I’m sure.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 22, 2019:

Thanks Farrah. I appreciate your concern.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 22, 2019:

Thanks Virginia. Sometimes, I asked the help of other teachers about it. Actually, as of now, I am using a Grammar App to check.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 22, 2019:

Thanks to you too, Liz. I appreciate it. Looking forward with the forum discussion.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 22, 2019:

Thanks for the suggestion, Manatita. I am looking forward to write more about being a Librarian. And as I scan different hubbers here, I found there are lots of librarians also here.

Luis G Asuncion (author) from City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines on November 22, 2019:

Thanks Dale, during my first 10 articles here in Hubpages, I used to quit already because my article were always rejected. Needs some improvement. I am trying my best to look it more perfect, however, just like you, that's the best I can already. Anyway, I already of the progress right now, going to 20+ articles as of this moment.

Farrah Young from Lagos, Nigeria on November 22, 2019:

Hi Luis, I can understand perfectly how you feel as I also lost my job last month.

In your case, I believe it might be a little worse as you are a man and more concerned with providing for your family.

I would keep writing and maybe look into an editor fine tuning your work before hitting the publish button. I am not a native English speaker myself and this is what I plan on doing.

Also, I should say that it takes a bit of time before you start to earn a reasonable amount of money on here. You might want to look at this more as a long time gig and concentrate more of your time finding a regular job that will take care of your immediate bills.

Good luck.

Virginia Allain from Central Florida on November 22, 2019:

I find the articles that work best for me are ones where you offer help with a problem. People hunting for a solution will find your article. More traffic will be good for your standing and hopefully for your earnings.

Since English is not your first language, I recommend that you ask a friend or a teacher to read your articles and suggest improvements for the wording and grammar. I imagine that affects your score on Hubpages.

Liz Westwood from UK on November 22, 2019:

That's a great suggestion from Manatita.

I sympathise with your situation, Luis. I would suggest that you post this as a forum discussion topic. You can also put your hubs out there for other hubbers to make suggestions on how you can improve. Sometimes I think that your English grammar might be letting you down a little.

Although my hub scores are reasonable, I have yet to make payout. I think payment is based on traffic. If you don't get a lot of readers visiting your hubs, you don't earn much. I just keep going in the hope that one day I'll get there. I hope that your circumstances improve soon.

manatita44 from london on November 22, 2019:

My dearest brother,

I am a sucker for honesty and you write with such sincerity that it touches my Heart.

Ask Bill Holland a.k.a. Billybuc this question for his writers mailbag. Read both Linda Crampton's and Linda Lum's work. They are both specialists and very kind.

One is with food and the other biology and science.

Linda C does other things too. She is very meticulous with spelling and grammer as is the other Linda.

Write at least 700 to 1200 words. Have decent relevant photos and video images relating to your theme.

I feel that even writing about being a librarian is good, but you need to make it interesting to hold the readers attention. Have a poll or polls and decent pics and appropriate headings.

Now I see two things here: You wish to increase your score and you wish for some more income. The second will take longer and will rely on the first.

Hubpages or the forum will teach you how to do this. Meanwhile, increase you followers and keep asking friends. Please write to Bill in question form. All my love.

Dale Anderson from The High Seas on November 22, 2019:

This is a plight that many of us can identify with I am sure. I just busted my butt working HARD on a hub article that I was really proud of and, when I published it, HubPages took it down saying that it wasn't good enough! Well, sorry to say, that is the best I have. I've re-edited it several times only to be told the same thing "Not good enough." So, instead of trying to discover what HubPages wants, I will just move it to another platform. Some clearer feedback from HP would be beneficial to all.
