A tribute to little green circles!

Oh little green circle with numbers entwined, how happy you make me feel! You feed my addiction here. It's been a few hours since I was last on, let me check again and see if you are there. You are so small, but you light up the page with good news that brings me a smile. Anticipation sneaks into me every time I visit. Has someone stopped by and left me a note? These small notes make all the writing worth while. Some comments are long and some comments are short. Some comments deliver a small part of my guests lives. Some are of praises, some are suggestions. Sometimes comments give me new resources, more knowledge, or suggestions. So every single time I see that small, green light shimmer excitement builds up in my core. I wonder who it will be this time and what wonderful words they have left. Will it be the dear friends that I have met through my time here or will it be a new name to explore? I visit the pages of new comers who left words just to get to know a bit about them. The tiny green circle at the far right brought a new potential cyber friend again!

There is a small colony that the green circle brings who comment on most of what I do. When I see them hiding behind the green circle, I can't help smiling from ear to ear. How lucky I feel. They are like faithful family. No matter if the topic of the hub was happy or sad, frustrated or mad, I always greet them with a huge smile. They are my cyber friends. They make me feel fortunate and blessed. I am grateful for them and all the little green circular gifts they have given me. Commenting is such a great gesture to me that I often read hubs that my favorite commenters grace with their comments. They are my friends after all, and what they like I may like.
In gratitude, I give each comment my undivided attention. I respond to them just like I would in any conversation.

Yes green circle, you take me back to the 80's when the thrill of the day was coming home to a flashing red light in the dark. At the push of a button a robotic voice would say, three new messages. What a thrill. People cared. People called. Telemarketing was not a gross epidemic yet. We still didn't hide from phones or screen our calls.

Thank you to all who have left me green circles!

It's funny how those green circles do that, isn't it?

It is really fun to get them isn't it? They are so sincere compared to modern day conversation. I am so glad that you enjoyed it and can relate to it. I like them more than my cell phone and facebook.

Hi Becky, I am happy to hear that you like my lighter side. My life... I don't know if it is returning to me or not. It just doesn't feel as heavy as it did at first and I am learning to be/live with it. It is weird to explain, but I am growing.

I so appreciate your consistent support. Thank you.

Becky Katz from Hereford, AZ on March 02, 2012:

This is wonderful and so much lighter than what you have been sharing. It is indeed a good sign. Your life indeed is returning to you. The grieving is working. You are getting through it. I am so happy for you and happy to bring you another green circle. Loved this and love your improved outlook. Keep recovering.

Thank you for commenting RTalloni...

It was fun to write and I thought it would be a breezy read. It is a lot lighter than what I have been able to write lately. I thought it was a good sign. :)

Cute stuff, and insightful. The times have changed, indeed.
