Introduction
IBM is a unique company. Over it's long history, they have created a work environment that is second to none. My years at IBM from 1974-2002) had the full experience of what it means to be an IBMer. One of the best attributes of being an IBMer is the incentive programs. They includes great benefits, good salary, and various awards. The following are some of my major awards over my career. I am proud to be an IBMer and will always cherish the memories and the many colleagues and friends I made while there. They are all an inspiration to me.

Final Words
I decided to write this memoir both for myself and for my children. In the past, I was too busy with various tasks and responsibilities and probably did not go into details about our family history and my work. Being retired and with more time on my hand, I wanted to devote some effort to put these thoughts on record before I forget them. I have noticed that my memory and my recall time is slowing a bit. In my youth, I prided myself on having an excellent memory. As time went on, I found myself having to make notes and "to do" lists for reminders. However, on the big picture events, I still remember important things that happened from over 50 years ago. I started having an interest in learning about the human brain as it relates to artificial intelligence. It is an amazing organ and we are still scratching the surface on learning the mystery of our brain. I do know this. Our human intelligence is superior to any machine that man can develop now or in the future. The proof is right in front of us.
I always thought of myself as a small gear in a large complex machine. Every one of us plays an important role in the success and failure of a given project. There were many times where I felt the need to do my best not only for myself but for the greater good. There were numerous incidents where a small detail made the difference or an extra effort that went above and beyond our duties. The human element is also a key. The people we work with on a day to day basis build over time creates a level of confidence. These intangibles cannot be overlooked.
Thanks for reading my life story. I welcome any comments and suggestions. I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies. I assure you they were not intentional. I tried to tell my story as accurate and as honest as I could. I am proud of my accomplishments and the collaborations that made them happen. I am happy with the friendships made over that time and the fond memories. I am humbled by the experiences and my travels around the world. I thank God for all my blessings.
