I am a wide reader, I can finish a 400-page novel in one to two sitting, about 2-3 hours only.
How to start talking?
It is very rude to check if I got this subtitle correct? How to start talking? Maybe you're in not in the mood to say to ask that way because as of this age, we already knew how to talk. Unless, you do not have a capability to talk because some issue in your tongue. However, I did this article just to share something what I usually do when I have a public speaking.
A good command in public speaking is one of the best gifts that we have. Every time I am invited to give an inspirational message to an organization or an institution, I usually introducing myself using the ten main divisions of the Dewey Decimal Classification System or simply called as DDC by the Librarians. DDC questions to ponder is the easiest to use for introducing ourselves. Although, if you are not a librarian, however, you are wide reader of a library specifically to a school library, you have a knowledge about DDC already.
So, here we goes.
Ten Main Divisions of DDC
As I am saying a while ago, there are ten main divisions of Dewey Decimal Classification System:
* 001-099 ( Generalities)
* 100-199 (Philosophy and Psychology)
* 200-299 (Religion)
* 300-399 (Social Sciences)
* 400-499 (Languages)
* 500-599 (Natural Sciences)
* 600-699 (Applied Sciences)
* 700-799 (The Arts)
* 800-899 (Literature)
* 900-999 (Geography and History)
Every Division has an Equivalent
Yes, every Division has an Equivalent to introduce ourselves.
In my case, I am going to introduce myself starting the 100-199 or simply from the Philosophy and Psychology. This division are the subject matters that asking "Who am I?"
So, in that case, I will introduce myself by saying my name. "I am that who I am, a Librarian by profession. I am 42 years old already. Married to the lady with that I lovely most. We have two kids with great passion and joy"
And to continue introducing myself, "I am also a freelance online writer as well as textbook author of both senior high school and college reference books."
And to continue introducing by using the 200-299 (Religion), I would say, What I am believing? I do believe in one God. And to take the quotation of Dwayne Wade, "My belief is stronger than my doubt".
For 300-399 (Social Sciences) will ask "Who are my neighbors?". I will say, I love to talk to the person who needs my help. Since I am a Librarian, I love to talk to the person who love to go to the library to ask for my services and not just staying there and doing nothing.
For 400-499 (Languages) or simply asking the question, "How to my neighbors talk?". I will rather talk to the person who wanted to ask for help. Just like what I have mentioned in the social sciences. However, do not talk to me if you are asking for money, I need that too! (Laughing out loud).
For 500-599 (Natural Sciences) or simply asking question "What are the creations of God that I love to read?". In view of this, I will just say, I love to read Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy and even Physics.
For 600-699 (Applied Sciences) or simply asking question, "What are the creations of God that man applied?". I will just say, I just love to cook and love to read anything about Medicine and Technology.
For 700-799 (The Arts), since I love music, I do love playing bass guitar. In relation to music, sometimes, I played piano. And I love sports too, but not that kind of sports that getting me sweat. I love indoor games like Chess and other board games.
For 800-899 (Literature), I love to read and write poems, short stories and genres, that is why I am a creative writer in which I already published different articles as well as inspirational books.
For 900-999 (Geography and History), since I love to travel, the former institution that I've worked granted me to teach Tourism Management subjects. I also taught History because of my passion to read history.
And finally, in order to know me more, 001-099 (Generalities), you better check all my social media accounts to get in touch with me.
Who am I right now?
Although, I just said, I am a Librarian by profession that is already for 21 years until I decided to shift career. I am already in line with Customer Service Representative. Doing good but am I happy? Looking to be true, I love talking to people.
My salary is doing great right now, but...
What is my plan?
My calling to read more books and the passion to teach Library and Information Science students became an issue to me. I am in the hesitant to continue my current job in the BPO Industry. I want to go back to my old career in the field of Librarianship. I am trying my luck also to apply as a Librarian in different government agencies. But do not know right how to decide?
I am trying to consult to different individuals like my family, friends, colleagues and even my enemies (laughing out loud). So, what will be the suggestions of my enemies?

I was not a librarian, but I worked in the library after school (grammar school) and in college for extra spending money. I enjoyed it a lot. I also enjoyed your article giving excellent key points to talk about when introducing ourselves before a speech. Very clever! I am actually going to keep this in mind for my next presentation.
